Overview of operating modes of the Electrolux washing machine

Modern models of Electrolux washing machines are equipped with many programs and additional functions that make the process of caring for clothes as easy as possible.
Understanding the purposes for which a particular program is intended simplifies the process of operating a household appliance as much as possible and helps to achieve the highest quality washing.

We will tell you more about the modes of the Electrolux washing machine below.

What programs are there?

There are two groups of modes: basic and additional. Basic programs and modes are mandatory installed on each washing machine model.

Prewash

Used in conjunction with the main wash mode . Helps remove old, stubborn dirt from clothes. Pre-wash mode increases cycle time, water, energy and detergent consumption.

Main wash

Standard program, the duration of which depends on the type of laundry loaded (type of fabric, children's or sportswear, home textiles).

Rinsing

The rinse mode is activated when there is a need for additional rinsing of the laundry after the main wash (for example, for children's clothes). When rinsing is not required, the Rinse Stop mode is activated .

Spin

By activating the “Spin” option, you can independently adjust the number of drum revolutions during spinning for a specific type of fabric.

Delayed start

Depending on the model of the Electrolux washing machine, the start delay time can range from three to twenty-four hours .

Just load the drum, select the start time for washing, and press the “Delay Start” button.

At the right moment, the washing machine will independently begin the operating cycle according to the specified program.

Drain

In a situation where, for some reason, after washing, water remains in the tank, pressing the “Drain” button will help remove dirty water from the washing machine to the sewer.

The group of additional programs includes a list of those modes, the choice of which is influenced by the type (material of manufacture) of the laundry.

Cotton

Used for washing products made from natural materials (cotton, linen) at temperatures from 30°C to 90°C. The number of revolutions is maximum. The working cycle duration is 145 minutes.

Eco cotton

Used for products made of white, colored (non-fading) fabrics at a temperature of 40°C-60°C. The washing time takes 136 minutes.

Synthetics

Used for washing clothes made of synthetic, mixed materials. Temperature range from 30°C to 60°C. The operating cycle time is 90 minutes.

Thin fabrics

Used for washing very thin, delicate fabrics (acrylic, viscose) . The maximum temperature does not exceed 40°C. The duration of a full cycle is 60 minutes.

Wool/Hand wash

Used for gentle washing of knitted and woolen items. Maximum temperature 40°C. Minimum number of revolutions. The average program duration is 55 minutes.

Silk

The most gentle washing mode for delicate, light silk items. Temperature 30C. The operating cycle time is 30 minutes.

Blanket

A mode in which the water temperature does not exceed 40C, and the number of revolutions is to wash the blanket so that its filling does not bunch up .

Jeans

The ideal combination of temperature (up to 60°C) and spin speed helps to thoroughly wash thick denim items. Washing time - 100 minutes.

Curtains

The mode provides two stages: preliminary (without powder) and main wash. Temperature up to 40°C. The operating cycle duration is 100 minutes.

Sport

Used for light, refreshing washing of synthetic sportswear and shoes. Duration: 30 minutes.

5 shirts

An excellent option for those who want to freshen up just a few shirts without having to commit to a lengthy wash. The operating cycle time is only 30 minutes.

Functional set

This washing machine has a number of useful functions. Please note that some of them are activated automatically, while others will have to be configured by you personally. But before you start using it, carefully study the purpose of this or that option:

  • “Steam system” – will treat your laundry using steam without wrinkling it;
  • “Panel lock” will protect the buttons from accidental pressing, as well as from children;
  • "Direct Spray" sprays clothes with water to prevent wrinkles;
  • “Aqua Control” allows you to protect your car from leaks;
  • “Time manager” allows you to choose your own washing parameters.

As you can see, the Electrolux car provides many features that will make your life much easier if you understand how to use them.

Test

Diagnostic (test, service) mode is a built-in function of the Electrolux washing machine that checks the functionality of all elements and components in selected modes. During the test mode, the control module will diagnose each element and upon completion will issue a message about the detected faults.

Depending on the type of control panel (with or without a selector), there are several ways to activate the test mode.

Activation of the service mode in a washing machine, the control panel of which is equipped with a program selector, proceeds according to the following algorithm:

  1. The selector knob is set to the “Off” position (RESET).
  2. Simultaneously press and hold two keys: “Start/Pause” and “Delayed start” (in Fig. 2).
  3. Press the “Start” button (in Fig. 1).
  4. While holding down the keys (in the photo, point 2), switch the selector knob to the first position. Flashing indicators indicate that the washing machine has turned on the test mode.

Each time the selector is turned one notch to the right, the washing machine will test individual elements and components.

You need to be prepared for the fact that the total time of the test mode takes on average 2.5 hours . Having detected a malfunction, the system will display an error code on the display, decoding which you can decide on the possibility of self-repair.

In order to exit the test mode, you need to turn off the washing machine, wait two minutes, turn the household appliance on and off again.

Activating the service mode of a washing machine with a control panel without a selector is as follows:

  1. Simultaneously press and hold the buttons located in the lower right corner of the control panel (2 start/pause and delayed start) (pictured item 1)
  2. Press the “ON” button (step 2 in the photo).

The “Start/Pause” and “Delayed Start” buttons continue to be held until the indicators on the control panel begin to flash (you will have to wait no more than four seconds). With a certain number of flashes, the Electrolux washing machine signals a problem.

Review of the Electrolux EW8F1R69SA washing machine with automatic dosing of washing gel

It would seem that everything important in washing machines has already been invented - even remote control via the Internet has been established. But washing machines with the function of auto-dosing detergents have not yet come into our field of vision.

It was all the more interesting to get acquainted with the Electrolux EW8F1R69SA, which can independently measure liquid laundry detergent and fabric softener.

* Contrary to popular belief, this is not the time limit after which the device will necessarily break down. However, after this period, the manufacturer ceases to bear any responsibility for its performance and has the right to refuse to repair it, even for a fee.

Equipment

As most often happens with large-sized household appliances, the washing machine arrived at the test site in a technological packaging made of polystyrene foam with cardboard inserts - they contain instructions for transporting the product. The device is wrapped with a thick layer of stretch film.

The machine kit includes:

  • plastic tray for liquid detergents
  • hose for connection to water supply
  • fastener for the drain hose with a bend (the drain hose itself is attached to the machine)
  • set of plastic plugs for holes from shipping fasteners
  • set of documentation: complete and brief operating instructions, service book, installation manual

At first sight

The car looks strict and elegant: the upper part of the front side is black and glossy, the same color is the frame of the drum cover, trimmed with carbon-fiber plastic.

The top of the panel is divided in half by the program selector knob. To the left of it is a silver plate with the manufacturer’s logo and the model name (behind it is a tray for detergents), to the right is a display with touch buttons. The glass drum cover is transparent.

The side panels are decorated with stamping in the form of rectangles with rounded edges.

The back wall looks familiar: the drum drive is covered with a casing, on top there is a connector for connecting the inlet hose, a fastening for the power cord, the cord itself and the drain hose.

The drum cover is suspended on metal hinges, so it is easy to remove if the machine does not fit into a doorway or passenger elevator door that is too narrow. And this may well happen: the drum frame protrudes slightly beyond the maximum dimensions of the body. Then the lid is just as easy to put back in place when the last difficult opening is left behind.

The counterpart of the lid latch is also metal.

The non-separable stainless steel drum is covered from the inside with perforations, the structure reminiscent of a honeycomb: groups of seven holes in each (we didn’t check all of them, but in the ones visible that way) are located inside round stampings. The gray plastic loops, which help stir laundry, are slightly curved.

The design of the tray in this model differs from the usual one even at the first acquaintance. There, in addition to traditional containers for loading single portions of washing and rinsing products, there are also additional reservoirs.

A hatch located behind the compartments for dispensing household chemicals provides access to the filler necks of the AutoDose compartments. At a time, these containers can be loaded with up to a liter of liquid laundry detergent and up to half a liter of conditioner.

The detergent tray is removable. By releasing the latch on the left side, you can remove it along with the AutoDose system reservoirs.

The machine also includes a tray for liquid detergents, inserted into the tray.

The containers are closed with a lid. It can be opened, liquids can be poured out (if, for example, the user needs to change the washing gel or conditioner) and the tray can be rinsed.

The round exhaust filter hatch is usually located at the bottom right of the front panel. It is equipped with a folding plastic visor, which directs the water that flows when the plug is opened into a placed container. This is a very convenient little thing.

According to an already established tradition, we carry out partial disassembly of the washing machine and look at how it works.

Instructions

The washing machine user manual is a thick 65-page A5 brochure, printed on thick paper with good printing quality.

The instructions are written in Russian and contain detailed and comprehensive information about the structure of the washing machine, preparing it for operation, its operation and care. What’s convenient is that there is a lot of illustrative material here: pictures, diagrams and tables explaining the operation of the device.

On the last page of the manual there is a QR code that leads to the page of the mobile application that controls the washing machine.

Control

The main washing modes must be selected using the round rotary selector with an arrow. The list of programs is to the right of it. By rotating to the right or left you can move through the list. The currently active mode is highlighted by an indicator.

The settings of the selected program and the maximum load of laundry allowed for it are displayed to the right of the list on the display. Using the touch buttons at the bottom, you can adjust the washing temperature, spin speed, and also add the desired option.

The only mechanical button is located just below the control panel: it turns the device on and off.

In the table below we show the default values for each program and the possible range of manual settings.

In addition to the familiar programs for cotton, synthetics and wool, this washing machine has programs for blankets, outerwear, and jeans, two gentle modes - “Delicate fabrics” and “Cashmere”, a steam treatment program “Fresh aroma”, as well as a twenty-minute “Quick wash” and one-hour “Ultra wash” program for heavily soiled cotton fabrics.

As additional options, Electrolux EW8F1R69SA offers pre- and intensive washing, additional rinsing and steam treatment.

The start of work can be delayed using the “Delay” start button: from 1 to 23 hours in 1 hour increments.

The Time Manager function allows you to control the duration of the wash: depending on the degree of soiling of the clothes, you can reduce or increase the standard program.

To the left of the display are buttons that control the wash temperature and spin speed, and to the right is a block of indicators and buttons for the AutoDose function. By clicking on the desired ones, you can increase the consumption of detergent or conditioner for the current program or, conversely, pause the AutoDose function by switching the tray to manual supply of detergents.

Smartphone control

To control the washing machine, the manufacturer offers the My Electrolux Care application (over 10 thousand downloads with an average rating of 1.7 at the time of writing the review).

To register, the Russian-language version of the application requires a verified email address, mobile phone number, first name, last name, patronymic of the user and his date of birth. All fields, including middle name, are required.

After registration, we are taken to the active devices screen, where we can add our washing machine to the application.

The connection procedure is straightforward: you need to select the desired type of equipment and turn on the pairing mode on the device, following the instructions on the phone screen. When connected, the app asks for permission to access your device's location data.

After this, the application requests the SSID and password for the Wi-Fi network (only the 2.4 GHz band is available) in which the washer will operate, connects to the temporary network created by it, and completes the pairing procedure.

The application allows you to flexibly configure the standard washing programs offered by the machine.

Having selected the desired program, the user can adjust the temperature and spin speed, as well as enable the necessary options: “Steam”, “Anti-crease”, “Intensive” and “Pre-wash”.

In addition to standard functionality, My Electrolux Care allows you to manage settings for the AutoDose function. From the menu at the bottom of the screen you can increase or decrease the automatic dispensing of detergent and conditioner. If you need to use manual feed, this function is disabled.

The delayed start of the device can be configured in two ways: by selecting the period after which the machine will start working, or by setting the exact time to start the wash.

On the application settings page, the user can set the hardness of the water used, lock the device from children, enable the extra rinse option and turn off the sound signal. The most interesting thing here is the ability to fine-tune the AutoDose function.

The consumption of washing gel or conditioner poured into the tanks of the device can be adjusted within a very wide range: from 5 to 200 milliliters separately for each of the trays. The tool can be renamed to avoid confusion and not to forget which one we filled in last.

AutoDose settings allow you to use the device’s trays in a “gel + conditioner” configuration (default), pour the same detergent into both containers to increase the volume, or use two different liquids, choosing the one you need before each wash.

In the settings section you can also find out the software version and update it if necessary.

When controlled from a mobile device, a corresponding message is displayed on the washing machine screen.

Unfortunately, during practical tests we repeatedly encountered an unstable connection with the washing machine: the application did not connect to the device the first time, displaying an error message. In such cases, restarting the application helped us. This spoiled the impression of the program - otherwise it worked well and was well organized.

Exploitation

Connecting the washing machine did not cause us any difficulties: the connections to the water supply and sewerage system of the device are standard and simple. Let us remind you, just in case, that you must unscrew the transport bolts holding the drum before starting to operate the device.

Before the first operational start, the manufacturer recommends pouring 2 liters of water into the detergent dispenser and draining the water in the usual way. Then you need to place a small amount of gel or powder in the main wash compartment and run the cotton program at maximum temperature. This will clean the drum and tank of factory contaminants remaining in them.

Operating the device is so simple that there is no need to look at the instructions (although they are very good). At least we did it quite rarely.

The operating time that appears on the display when selecting a program is for medium or heavy load. After touching the “Start” button, the corresponding indicator goes out, and the ProSense system begins to figure out how much laundry has been put in the machine. For the first half a minute, the drum rotates at short intervals, and the “kg” indicator appears on the display.

After determining the weight of the laundry, it goes out and the newly determined washing time appears on the screen. Our device adheres to this value very precisely: the drum is unlocked at the end of the program exactly after the last minute has passed, and the “internal” time of the device corresponds to the real one.

Even if the machine is loaded to the limit specified by the mode, it does an excellent job of distributing the laundry inside the drum. During the entire testing period, we did not notice the slightest problems associated with imbalance: no excessive noise, no vibration, no independent movement on the floor.

Electrolux EW8F1R69SA is one of the few washing machines that allows you to pause work with a corresponding button, open the drum, remove something, or, conversely, add more laundry. You can continue working by pressing the pause button again. But the door will not open if the temperature or water level is too high - this should always be kept in mind.

The AutoDose system only works with liquid detergents. Therefore, those who are accustomed to using traditional washing powders will have to switch to gels compatible with the system.

After loading AutoDose containers, you can adjust the amount of detergent and fabric softener. By default, the machine uses 90 ml of detergent and 25 ml of conditioner per wash cycle: the manufacturer reports that these settings satisfy most usage scenarios, but if necessary, you can change them to suit your own needs.

Factory settings for detergent consumption are selected for water of medium hardness, normal level of contamination and average machine load. You need to adjust them to suit yourself if the water is very soft or, conversely, too hard; if you are using a highly concentrated detergent; You often wash small portions of lightly soiled laundry or, on the contrary, you prefer to load the machine to the maximum.

Recommendations for choosing the optimal dose of detergent are simple: increased foaming indicates too large a portion, and insufficient washing quality indicates the need to increase the dose.

While getting to know the device, we measured the amount of laundry detergent we had previously added manually, and then ran a few tests. They showed that the usual volume in our scenarios for using a washing machine can be painlessly reduced by almost a quarter. This reduction in consumption will result in significant savings. Those who are used to pouring gel or conditioner “by eye”, without using measuring containers, will no longer have to worry about the exact dosage: the AutoDose system will take care of this.

The consumption of detergents is set in the setting mode. After turning on the machine, hold down the Temperature and Spin buttons at the same time for a few seconds until the Set icon appears on the display and the detergent reservoir and softener reservoir icons flash. To set the basic dosage, select the button for the corresponding tank, and use the “Temperature” and “Spin” buttons to set the required amount of liquid to be dosed in 1 ml increments.

It’s even easier to adjust the consumption of gel or conditioner using the application. The AutoDose button at the bottom of the main page opens the dosage settings for the detergent and conditioner, on which the desired amount is set using the “+” and “−” buttons.

The AutoDose function does not work with all wash programs: it is designed to use a universal detergent suitable for cotton, synthetics and delicate fabrics. The “Wool/Silk” and “Cashmere” programs will not allow the use of a common auto-dosing reservoir: indeed, for such fabrics it is better to use manual feeding of a specialized gel or powder for wool and silk.

If you need to wash clothes in one of the standard programs using manual supply of a special detergent, AutoDose can also be turned off. This may be necessary, for example, when washing outerwear or sportswear made from membrane fabrics, which require special products.

Disabling the automatic supply of detergent and conditioner is done separately: for example, if you need to wash clothes with a special detergent and standard rinse aid, you only need to turn off the main AutoDose tray.

The water consumption during washing also depends on the set amount of detergent: the more detergent that gets into the drum, the more water is required to rinse the laundry well.

When using manual feeding, liquid detergents must be poured into a special tray, which is inserted into the tray. This design prevents premature leakage of gel or conditioner - for example, when installing a delayed start.

To cancel a running program and turn off the machine, you need to press the “On/Off” button. To turn it on again and select a new mode, just click on it again. However, if the ProSense step was completed earlier and the washer has already filled with water, when running a new program this part of the work is not repeated, and the water and detergent are not drained - this is done for reasons of economy.

If you pull out the detergent tray during washing, the washing machine will automatically pause. To continue working, you need to return everything as it was and press the “Start/Pause” button.

The EW8F1R69SA automatically enters sleep mode five minutes after the end of the wash program or five minutes after touching the Start/Pause button. To continue running the current program or select a new one, press the “On/Off” button. The device will not “fall asleep” if the program has ended, but according to the scenario, water remains in the tank.

Care

For the outer walls of the washing machine, you can only use a weak soap solution, and not too hot, and wipe the body dry after polishing. Do not wash the washing machine with products based on alcohol, solvents, acids or other aggressive chemicals. Metal surfaces do not need to be cleaned with bleach and its derivatives. And no parts of the car can be scrubbed with steel wool.

If the tap water is hard or contains other impurities, it is worth cleaning the drum from time to time by putting a factory-made anti-scale, rust or other detected contaminant in it and running the empty machine through the wash cycle. scale appears, clean it.

Once a month, the washing machine needs to undergo maintenance to clean the tank of accumulated fabric particles and detergent deposits. To do this, you need to run an empty machine on the “Cotton” cycle at maximum temperature. You can add a little regular washing powder or gel.

Every time after washing, you should inspect and, if necessary, feel the door seal and remove from it what is stuck in it.

The detergent dispenser can be removed by pulling the special latch downwards. The part removed from the machine is washed under running warm water. After installing the clean container in place, you need to turn on the device to the “Rinse” program without laundry.

If the machine stops draining or the drum won't spin, it's probably time to clean the pump. To do this, you need to unplug the washing machine and read the instructions. Then, according to the diagram in the user manual, remove the pump, remove the filter, place a basin to collect water, and clean the filter from particles of fabric and other contaminants. Then check that the pump impeller rotates freely, wash the filter under running water and put it back, carefully rechecking each step and checking the diagram.

After urgently ridding the machine of water, you need to restart the drainage system: pour two liters of water into the detergent compartment (main wash) and run the program to drain the water.

The inlet hose and its filter must also be cleaned regularly to remove scale and dirt.

Our measurements

For several reviews in a row, we have been evaluating the drum capacity of washing machines to the best of our ability. Of course, in many cases you cannot call it a regular cylinder, but for approximate calculations it is enough to imagine it as such.

The Electrolux EW8F1R69SA tank is a cylinder with a radius of 25 cm and a depth of 35 cm. Its volume is 68,722 cm³, that is, approximately 68.7 liters.

The water consumption of this model depends on the degree of soiling of the clothes and, when the AutoDose function is turned on, on the settings for the consumption of the detergent. As an experiment, we decided to monitor the operation of the main program, as they say, minute by minute (we used the standard “Cotton” program with one additional rinse). Measurements were taken with the AutoDose function enabled. In the first experiment, the product consumption was set to 100 ml, in the second - to 50 ml. The amount of laundry loaded into the machine was the same in both experiments.

You can see that as the amount of gel increases, the volume of water required to rinse the clothes also increases. For the main wash, it is also adjusted automatically, but depends only on the weight of the loaded laundry, which the machine determines at the beginning of the cycle.

The amount of water for the additional (third) rinse does not depend on the settings of the AutoDose function.

Steam mode

The next object of our interest was the “Steam” program. We also provide a minute-by-minute protocol of its operation in the table.

During the entire steam treatment cycle, the machine consumed two liters of water. The program operating time is fixed and does not depend on the amount of laundry loaded into the drum. The total energy consumption for operation in this mode was 0.204 kWh.

Spin

We were also interested in the real spin efficiency, which we measure in grams of water per gram of cotton using the formula: (weight of pressed material - dry weight) / dry weight. 10 terry white towels from Ikea with a total weight of about 2 kg were used as reference linen.

The maximum power consumed by the machine, recorded during practical tests, was 1944 W. In standby mode, the washing machine consumes 3.2 W, and in the off state it consumes about 0.2 W.

Practice tests

To evaluate the main function of the washing machine, we stained a set of the already mentioned white terry towels, and took those substances that are both common and poorly washed. Washing was carried out using standard programs.

Standard program for cotton, 40 °C

We poured red wine, soy sauce, ketchup, blood and cocoa (each towel has a different substance) onto a set of five towels.

Red wine

Soy sauce

Ketchup

Cocoa

Blood

We left the dirty towels to dry at room temperature for 24 hours, after which we loaded a test wash.

Red wine

Cocoa

Blood

After washing on a standard cotton program with default settings, stains from ketchup and soy sauce disappeared completely, but stains from red wine, cocoa and blood remained visible.

Result: excellent.

Cotton program, 95 °C

For the next test, we used the same set of towels with the same set of stains: red wine, soy sauce, ketchup, cocoa and blood.

Red wine

Soy sauce

Ketchup

Cocoa

Blood

This time we used the cotton program with the temperature increased to 95 °C and the intensive wash mode turned on. We also changed the AutoDose settings, increasing the detergent consumption to 100 ml.

Red wine

Blood

After washing with the detergent consumption increased to 100 ml, the temperature increased to 95 °C and the intensive wash option turned on, stains from cocoa, soy sauce and ketchup disappeared completely, while stains from red wine and blood remained barely noticeable.

To completely remove stains left on the towels from this and the previous test, we washed them again at 95°C using bleach, and the fabric was completely restored to its original whiteness.

Result: excellent.

Wool washing mode

The Woolmark Apparel Care Green sticker on the front of the Electrolux EW8F1R69SA indicates that this model has been independently tested and found safe for use on garments that specify "hand wash" in the care instructions. Gentle washing of woolen and delicate items is ensured by properly selected temperature conditions and eliminates shrinkage and damage to delicate fabric. The green color of the sticker additionally indicates the proven use of energy-efficient and resource-saving technologies.

To ensure the quality of washing delicate items, we took a wool blanket weighing just under a kilogram and used the wool washing mode at the default settings (40 ° C, spin 1200 rpm). Of course, for washing we used a special liquid detergent for wool, which we poured into the removable tray of the manual feed compartment.

The machine treated the delicate blanket with high quality and care, which, according to the label, is intended only for hand washing. The wool did not mat during the washing process, and the initially rather dirty fabric was washed flawlessly.

During this wash cycle, 0.403 kWh of electricity and 61.5 liters of water were consumed. The remaining water per gram of dry laundry was 0.40 g at a spin speed of 1200 rpm: the washing machine spins wool even more efficiently than cotton.

Result: excellent.

conclusions

The Electrolux EW8F1R69SA washing machine is an excellent device with thoughtful ergonomics, excellent efficiency and high cost-effectiveness. High-quality European assembly and long service life give reason to hope that this model will delight its owner for many years after the end of the warranty period. Its standard cycles are well thought out and provide excellent washing quality at low cost. Additional programs further expand the capabilities of the device, and the ability to flexibly customize any program to suit user requests makes washing even better.

Based on the results of test operation, the automatic supply of detergents in the Electrolux EW8F1R69SA seemed to us a very convenient option. With its help, you can achieve noticeable savings in laundry detergents and conditioners without worrying about the exact dosage. We liked the ability to pour a liter of washing gel into a container once and forget about the need to take out a canister of it from the cabinet with household chemicals before each wash. This washing machine is designed to save time, money and even free space.

Perhaps the only drawback of the AutoDose system was the lack of automatic control of detergent consumption depending on the drum load and the degree of soiling of the clothes. But simple dosage control using the control panel or via a mobile application makes the absence of this option unimportant.

pros:

  • convenient function of automatic dosing of detergents and conditioner
  • thoughtful set of programs
  • steam function
  • spin up to 1600 rpm
  • good economy and high efficiency
  • possibility of control from a smartphone

Minuses:

  • high price
  • The mobile application does not always connect to the device the first time

Useful functions of the Electrolux washing machine

In addition to the main and additional modes, the Electrolux washing machine is equipped with many additional functions that ensure the most comfortable, safe and efficient operation of the household appliance. Useful options:

  1. The Steam System steam treatment function allows you to quickly refresh your laundry without using washing powder and helps get rid of folds and creases in the fabric.
  2. The AutoSens system helps save water and energy. The washing machine automatically determines the optimal washing time, electricity and water consumption based on the weight of dirty laundry loaded into the drum.
  3. The Aqua Control system will help you forget about washing machine leaks forever. If the tank becomes depressurized during the washing process, a special float sensor will send an alarm signal to the control module. As a result, the washing machine will automatically block the water supply (cut off the inlet hose) and start the drain pump.
  4. The Time manager function helps you adjust the wash duration. Simply press the appropriate button on the control panel and select the appropriate working cycle duration based on the options offered by the program.
  5. Direct Spray mode is qualitatively different from conventional modes. During the washing process, things are not simply immersed in water, but are constantly sprayed with a soap solution that enters the drum of the washing machine under pressure. This ensures gentle but very effective cleaning of dirty laundry at the same time.
  6. The AVTO DOSE function will automatically supply the adjusted amount of detergent into the powder receptacle. The machine weighs the laundry loaded into the drum and determines the exact amount of washing powder.
  7. Child locking will help protect equipment from constant repairs (child's pranks can lead to serious damage). To turn on the lock, you need to press and hold for several seconds the two keys “Prewash” and “Easy Ironing”.

Depending on the washing machine model, the combination for activating the child lock may differ. The necessary information can be found in the operating instructions for the household appliance.

Programs for different types of fabrics

How to choose the right one?

Setting the required washing mode is simple: just turn the selector knob to the desired icon . The temperature and number of revolutions are set automatically in accordance with the specified washing program.

If necessary, you can change the temperature mode and spin speed, add an additional rinse, or eliminate this stage of the work cycle by pressing the corresponding buttons on the control panel.

Comfort and safety technologies

Electrolux vertical washing machines can be installed in any room. Their width does not exceed 40 cm, in addition, there is no need to leave space for opening the hatch. Laundry is placed on top, making loading easier. The drum doors open smoothly, which ensures safe operation and increases the service life of the device, since this method does not loosen the door mechanism.

Other manufacturers have a detergent dispenser located on the lid, so if you close the door abruptly, the powder may spill into the washing chamber or, even worse, onto the floor. In Electrolux washing machines, the ditch is located next to the control panel, so the detergent is dosed accurately and added on time. The cuvette is easily removed and washed under running water, which ensures easy and convenient maintenance.

At the end of the wash cycle, the drum is automatically positioned with the flaps up and there is no need to turn it manually to find the hatch. Electrolux premium vertical washing machines are equipped with the same technologies as front-loading models: inverter motor, TimeManager option, steam function, special programs for wool and silk. The buyer can choose stylish and reliable equipment that is ideal in size and configuration for his bathroom.

Adviсe

The completion of the wash is signaled not only by the extinguished indicators on the control panel, but also by a sound signal.

The washing duration may vary depending on the washing machine model . The necessary information can always be found in the operating instructions for household appliances.

In a house where small children live, the washing machine can only be started with the keys on the control panel locked.

If during the washing process there is a need to adjust the selected program, you need to press the “Start/Pause” key, set the selector knob to the correct position and press the “Start/Pause” key again.

The hatch door can only be opened after the wash cycle has been completed (the door lock indicator should go out).

Starting the wash

First of all, put the laundry in the drum, carefully distributing it. To avoid further problems, never cram laundry into the machine or overload it. Also, do not wash white items mixed with colored items, as this may damage them. Before starting, make sure the hatch is tightly closed!

The corresponding program is set by turning the selector, other parameters by pressing the keys. The spin speed can be seen on a special panel, as well as the time. Having selected the program, you can start the machine.

Tips for car owners

Read the instructions thoroughly before using the unit. To avoid unexpected situations when washing, try not to break simple rules. Firstly, if the water supply hose comes off, turn off the power immediately! Secondly, do not wash materials for which the device is not intended, also:

  • turn off the tap if you are not using the washing machine;
  • To avoid deformation of the rubber seal, do not wash items stained with oily substances;
  • Wipe the drum and walls with a damp cloth when the power is off, otherwise the parts may become unusable;
  • If the water supply is stopped, open the tap slowly and carefully the next time you wash; do not jam the laundry in the drum with the hatch door;
  • Make sure that there are no foreign objects in your clothing pockets, this could damage the car;
  • to avoid damage to the heating element, soften the water with Calgon or other additives;
  • The drain pump filter needs regular cleaning.

The Electrolux washing machine is easy to use and will not cause problems if you follow these simple rules. All you need is to carefully study the instructions and be extremely careful, not forgetting, first of all, about your safety!
