Operating a washing machine requires correct attitude and proper management, otherwise the service life of the equipment will be significantly reduced. Manufacturers issue specialized instructions for all of their models.
Bosch washing machine
Modern household appliances from Bosch are of the highest quality thanks to innovative technologies. The use of new developments can significantly reduce the cost of electrical energy and water. Every Bosch washing machine is thoroughly tested for functionality and perfect condition.
Compliance with all the rules set out in the attached instructions will keep the washing machine in full operation. You can download the instructions for using a Bosch washing machine on the company’s official website and on specialized resources. Often technical data is accompanied by photos for the convenience of the user.
The operating manual for household appliances may be suitable for various models of washing machines, describing in detail the process of action and a set of warnings. If necessary, the model of household appliances is additionally indicated in different paragraphs.
Installation of a Bosch washing machine
Before installing the Bosch washing machine, you must make sure that there are no defects on it. The surface on which it will be located must be hard, smooth and even, preferably tile or concrete, and not linoleum, laminate, carpet and others. To reduce vibration, you can use special mats.
Before installation, it is necessary to remove the transportation bolts from the rear wall of the machine and plug the holes. After placing the Bosch washing machine in place, remove the inlet and drain hoses from the mounts. Using a building level, level the washing machine (deviation of no more than 2 degrees is allowed). The drain hose is connected to the sewer pipe, which feeds to the water supply pipe through a tee tap. Before you start using a Bosch washing machine, it is recommended to carry out the first run without laundry with a small amount of powder, in the cotton washing mode at 60°C.
Differences for Bosch washing machines with different loading types
In Bosch machines with vertical and horizontal loading, there is a difference between the location of the powder cuvette. In front-loading appliances, it is located in a visible place - on the front wall of the panel in the upper left corner.
For machines with vertical loading, the powder receptacle is hidden by a top cover. The number of sections in it does not differ. There are three of them: for pre- and main wash, as well as for liquid detergents .
Each section is marked. The main disadvantage of this arrangement of the powder receptacle is that at the washing stage it will no longer be possible to add detergent.
Control panel and washing mode selection
Before you start using your Bosch washing machine, you need to study the special icons for all programs located on the control panel. Each model has basic buttons: on/off, wash, rinse, spin. Bosch Classixx 5 model does not have a power button; instead, machine owners use a lever to switch programs. And the “start” button allows you to set the child lock; for this you need to press it for 4 seconds.
The choice of mode depends on the type of fabric and the purpose of the item. Modern machines usually contain 12-16 modes in their program.
Washing modes can be indicated on the panel by the following icons:
- Shirt on a hook, washing synthetics, lasts from 0.5 to 1.5 hours, water temperature 40°C.
- Dress with flower and body mode for cotton, with a duration of 2 hours and a maximum temperature of 95°C.
- Dress with flower and trousers quick wash.
- Shirt with bow tie for washing delicate fabrics: silk, satin. It is carried out at low temperature, with a light spin.
- Pants washing mode for denim fabrics.
- Palm in a bowl of water and a skein of yarn mode for washing delicate items, including wool.
- Romper washable baby clothes at high temperature.
- T-shirt washing sportswear.
Some of the models, for example, Bosch maxx 5, have special functions. They are indicated by the following icons:
- T-shirt with black stain mode for removing stubborn stains. Not intended for delicate items.
- A basin with a vertical stripe for soaking things.
- Iron easy ironing.
- Bowl with water and an arrow pointing up for additional rinsing.
To choose the optimal mode, you should study the labels on the clothes; they will tell you which type of washing is best suited for a particular item. It is recommended not to mix light and colored laundry in one wash, and for expensive delicate items to use the appropriate mode.
Rules for the use of liquid detergent compositions
Manufacturers of household chemicals offer the use of liquid detergents to improve the quality of washing. They should not be used like powder. Features of application:
- Fabric softener . It is poured into a separate compartment, which is located in the center of the cuvette and is marked with a “*”. If you add liquid directly into the drum, the effect of its use will be reduced to zero.
- Bleach . If the conditioner poured into the drum is simply washed out along with streams of water, then the bleach can cause serious damage to the fabric, leaving stains on it. The more aggressive the components in its composition, the worse. Bleach and stain remover are added to the main compartment, along with washing powder.
- Rinse and balm . These products must be used at the end of the wash, so they are poured into the middle section of the cuvette.
Capsules contain liquid components. This is the only detergent that can be added directly to the drum.
Starting the wash
After turning on the Bosch washing machine, you need to load laundry into it and carefully close the door, then select the desired program using the selector. If necessary, it can be adjusted by decreasing or increasing the spin speed, adjusting the water temperature, etc.
It is prohibited to use hand washing products in a Bosch washing machine; they are characterized by increased foaming, which can lead to equipment breakdown. It is also necessary to use each of the powder compartments for its intended purpose. In the Bosch maxx 4 model there are three of them: the left one is for washing powder and bleach, the right one is used for soaking, and the middle one needs to be filled with fabric softener.
To start washing, you need to press the “start” button. If the wrong mode is used, it can be changed right in the process by pressing the “start” button and switching the lever to the desired position. After starting, the machine will switch to the required program.
Is it possible to put powder product into the drum?
The manufacturer does not recommend pouring detergent directly into the drum . The exception is laundry capsules. They have several compartments with shells of different thicknesses. It thins out as you wash, so the detergent is released in doses, at the moment when it is needed.
Powders contain granules, their composition is quite aggressive. The bulk product needs time to dissolve. If you place it directly into the drum, it will negatively affect the color of things and also lead to their rapid wear.
The powder is washed out of the cuvette at a certain time, which corresponds to the washing program. On the way to the drum, it partially dissolves, which contributes to its uniform distribution.
Bleach and conditioners should also not be poured into the drum of a Bosch washing machine. Things will not suffer because of this, but the desired effect will not be achieved. Liquid products will simply be washed away during the washing phase.
Sometimes housewives are faced with the need to add detergent directly into the drum, for example, if the tray is faulty and things need to be washed immediately. In this case, the powder must be poured into a special container. It works like a dispenser, systematically releasing detergent. Its use will allow you to wash things without compromising their quality.
Bosch washing machine care
To ensure a long service life of a Bosch washing machine, you need to use it correctly and not forget about maintenance. After each wash, the hatch and powder receptacle must be wiped with a dry cloth and left slightly open; this will protect the equipment from the appearance of mold and unpleasant odors. There is no need to use aggressive detergents to care for the drum; this will shorten the life of the washing machine.
When putting things into the washing machine, you need to make sure that there are no small objects in the pockets that could get into the drum. To wash some items (bras, clothes with metal fittings), it is recommended to use special covers or bags to avoid breakage. You cannot put laundry in the machine that exceeds the permissible weight limit; this leads to overload and premature wear of the drum compartment and engine.
Do not use too much powder or conditioner. After washing, the powder compartment must be rinsed under running water to remove any remaining detergent.
It is necessary to periodically clean the garbage filter and hoses, otherwise they become clogged and debris remains inside the machine, causing the laundry to have an unpleasant odor after washing.
Before carrying out any maintenance procedures, make sure that the machine is disconnected from the power supply.
How and where to pour?
All detergents must be placed in a special tray. It is located at the top of the case, on the left side (if you stand facing the panel). The powder receptacle opens easily; just insert your finger into a small recess and pull it towards you.
The cuvette is represented by 3 sections , inside of which there are marks. You need to look from left to right:
- II – the first section is signed with the Roman numeral two, it is intended for the powder that will be used during the main wash cycle;
- * - the image of a flower or star is in the central section, it is used for adding liquid detergents;
- I – the outermost compartment is marked with the Roman numeral one; powder for pre-washing is poured into it.
The central compartment has a special limiter. It is necessary for the user to dose the composition correctly. Liquid should not be poured above the specified mark.
There are markings on all Bosch washing machines without exception. If suddenly it is impossible to see it, then you should proceed from the size of the trays. The largest of them is intended for powder for the main wash, and the smallest is for fabric softeners and conditioners.

Call the master
If you cannot connect a Bosch washing machine yourself, you must use the services of a specialist.
You can find a company on the Internet. It is better to trust companies that have been operating in the service market for a long time and have a reliable reputation.
The price list of individual companies may have significant differences, and it is better to clarify such information with the company’s dispatcher. The cost of work depends on the volume and complexity.
If all communications have already been removed, then a master in the capital can charge from 1000 rubles . Installing a built-in washing machine will cost more (from 1,500 rubles).
In the case where communications are not installed and preparatory measures are required, the cost of the work increases significantly - up to several thousand. Additional details, if they are needed when performing work, are paid for separately by the customer.
When calling a technician, you should indicate the manufacturer of the washing machine, the model of the device and whether communications are connected.
Preparing to connect
As you know, washing machines are transported over different distances, so the manufacturer packs them tightly and securely so that they are not damaged along the way. Basically, all the structural elements of the washing machine are located on it. But sometimes they are placed in a separate bag to ensure compactness.
When the washing machine is in the house, first of all you need to remove the packaging and check whether all the components are in place. In the case of home delivery, this must be done directly in front of the delivery person. When unpacking, you need to check the set of fasteners that are necessary to secure the main parts of the washing machine.
Important! The places where the transportation bolts are screwed must be closed with the plugs included in the package. This will prevent dust and dirt from getting inside the washing machine.
In the operating instructions, the manufacturer usually indicates where it is best to install the washing machine. The main thing is that the basic requirements that relate to the safe operation of the installation are not violated. In terms of convenience, it is important that you can easily approach the car.
To ensure normal, uninterrupted operation, it is necessary that there be at least 10 cm between the washing machine and another element of the interior or the wall. Putting things on the lid of the machine during washing is strictly prohibited.
As with any machine, it is important that the Bosch Logixx 6 is placed on a level and solid surface. The use of fabric flooring is unacceptable. If the surface is uneven or there is a “playing floor” effect, then it must be eliminated, strengthened, or another place for installation must be found.
