p Programs 10 and 11 are designed for washing mixed fabrics.
p Program 11 can be used for wetting.
p Program 12 is designed for washing delicate fabrics.
p In programs 11 and 12, the washing machine ends the program with
participation of water, despite the position of the flywheel rotation speed to protect tissues. This contributes to:
p Removing tissue directly from the water and then pumping out the water, or
p First pumping out the water and then removing the charge, or
p Centrifugation and removal of the charge after centrifugation.
To pump out water, you must first turn the program dial handwheel to position 0 and then dial program 9 - pumping out water. To turn on centrifugation, turn the program dial handwheel to position 0 and then dial program 8 - centrifugation, set the required rotation speed and press the start button.
p programs 13, 14, 15 are intended for washing synthetics.
2. Setting the centrifugation speed
Depending on your needs and the markings on the clothing, you can select the centrifugation speed or refuse it using the rotation speed flywheel (description on pages 18 and 19). Possible regulation limits are shown in Table 2 on page 31 of this manual.
3. Installation of additional functions
If you want to choose a program for your individual needs, you can use additional functions. It is possible to turn these functions on and off as the wash progresses. p For lightly soiled clothes, you can use the short-term wash button.
Important ! Table 2A of this manual lists those selected additional functions that are active for individual wash programs.
Disassembling the Hansa washing machine
So, when you turn on the car, it displays code 07. Take note. You don’t have to disassemble the washing machine, just wait a couple of days for the water in the pan to dry.
To solve the problem, you need to remove the lower front cover, so the installed machine does not even need to be removed from the niche. You only need to unscrew 2 screws at the edges.
Then you need to pull the bottom cover towards you. The groove from which you need to remove the front cover is marked in blue.
Don't forget to remove the black hose, marked with a blue arrow.

4. Start the washing program
After setting the washing program and additional functions, you should open the water supply and start the washing program by briefly pressing the start button (description on page 20). The indicator light is ready for operation should go out and light up - the indicator light is working. If a washing program is started by mistake, you can stop the program at any time by pressing the start button for approx. 3 seconds. Then the operation indicator light will go out and the ready to work light will come on. You can then turn the program dial handwheel to any program and, in the case of a stationary drum, turn on the washing program using the start button. Turning the program dial handwheel while the control light is on does not change the currently running program.
5. Completing the wash
If the wash completes without interruption, the work completion lamp will light up and the work and ready to work lamps will go out. (In case of breakdowns during washing, the work completion light is on and the ready to work light is blinking - see Table 5, page 35). Immediately after turning on the light, the work is completed, the door can be opened and the charge can be removed. After completing the wash, turn off the water supply.
Important ! The washing machine is equipped with a system that prevents the door from opening during the wash cycle. Trying to open the door while washing is in progress may damage the machine.
After the normal completion of the wash, the door can be opened immediately after the end light comes on.
Fault codes and typical breakdowns of the Hansa AGR
Cars of the Polish brand break down quite rarely. Perhaps the statistics are like this because they are not as common as Ariston or Electrolux. Nevertheless, service centers provided information about the problems that occur most often.
The self-diagnosis system helps determine the location of the breakdown. It displays error codes (E01, E02, E03, E04, E05, E07, E08, E10, E11, E12, E14, E15, E21, E22, E31, E32, E42, E52). Their decoding explains the cause of the problem and how to fix it. Here are the most common codes:
Hansa SMs are equipped with additional functionality. For example, Hansa Aqua Spray models have a water injection system into the drum, which also sometimes fails.

Self-repair of the Hansa washing machine
To carry out repair work, be sure to follow safety precautions: unplug the machine.
We solve problems with drainage . Close the inlet valve. For convenience, you can disconnect the device from communications. Blockage in the system is a common problem with all Hansa Optimum and Hansa Comfort models. The instructions clearly indicate the location of the drain filter. It needs to be cleaned at least once every 2-3 months.
During washing, items, buttons, and items of clothing that were forgotten in pockets end up in the drum. All this goes down the drain along with the remaining detergents.
Draining the liquid and cleaning the filter:
Look into the mounting hole. The pump impeller is located there. Scroll it by hand. If it does not rotate, remove foreign objects from its axis. Often the impeller is blocked by threads, hair, and coins.

How can you tell if the problem is with the pump? In addition to diagnostics with a multimeter, the following symptoms indicate a breakdown:
To carry out the repair yourself, you can use the rear panel, but it is more convenient to remove the bottom:
Such repairs will cost less than buying a new pump for a Hansa washing machine.
Troubleshooting Hansa Aqua Spray . If there is poor or no water flow into the system, you need to check the solenoid valve. In models with Aqua Spray, a water injection system is additionally connected to the valve. The jets forcefully spray the contents of the drum, so dirt is washed out better.
The disadvantage of the technology is the narrow water supply path, which is often clogged with scale and debris from the water supply.

Troubleshooting heating problems . The reason for the lack of heating is the heating element. Often it burns due to scale. Burnt out thermistor (temperature sensor) wires also affect the heating system. It is easy to check and replace parts. In Hansa Optima, Hansa Dynamic System and other models, access is via the plinth panel:

We eliminate extraneous noise and problems with drum rotation . Have you loaded the laundry, started the program, but the drum does not spin? Or does it spin very slowly? Check the condition of the drive belt. It transmits torque from the engine pulley to the tank.
Grinding, humming noise during operation of the automatic transmission system, play between the drum and the tank are a consequence of wear of the bearings. To change parts you will need to disassemble the equipment. The Hansa SM device is no different from other brands. But its renovation has its own subtleties.
Moving to the back wall, remove the panel. Remove the belt from the pulley. Dismantle the heating element. Now free the front of the tank from the counterweights. Components and parts are still attached to it from below. Therefore, remove the engine and its wiring, disconnect the pipes, hoses and dampers.
At this point you can remove the large pulley. Spray the center bolt with WD-40, secure the wheel and remove the screw.
Remove the tank from the housing. It will not be difficult to separate the two parts - screw fastenings are installed.
To knock out the drum, tap the bushing with a hammer. Now tap the chisel and the outside of the bearing with a hammer to knock it out of its seat.
Clean the seat. Replacement of bearings is carried out in the reverse order together with the seals.

Solving problems with electronics . You can independently inspect the wiring for integrity, and also check the interference filter. But it is not recommended to repair the control module without a technician. For such repairs, you will need an SMA electrical diagram, as well as knowledge and experience in this field.
If you notice burnt areas on the board or oxidized tracks, contact a service center.
Replacing and repairing machine parts will take a lot of time, so prepare in advance and free the whole day. Also prepare the area for disassembly. Move the body to the middle of the room to make it convenient to work. If the equipment is still under warranty, we recommend contacting the workshop under the warranty agreement.

If the washing program is interrupted (turn the handwheel to 0, power failure, error signal, etc.), the machine door can be opened after approx. 2 minutes from turning off the machine.
After completing the wash, you should set the program dial handwheel to position 0 each time (see Fig. 32).
If the washing machine turns off (the program dial is set to 0 or there is a power failure) during the wash cycle, after turning it on again, the stopped wash program will be continued.
If the program dial handwheel is installed (in a position other than 0), the red operation light will light up, which means that the previous washing program remains in the machine’s memory. The program can be canceled by pressing the start button for approx. 3 seconds – the light comes on and is ready for use.

CARE AND CLEANING OF YOUR WASHING MACHINE

Cleaning
To clean the casing, you should use cloths soaked in water with added soap (do not use detergents); you should also not use abrasives, gasoline or other solvents.
Elements made of plastic should only be cleaned with a damp cloth. Decalcifying agents should be used periodically during washing to remove limescale deposits. To protect the washing machine from the harmful effects of stone, we recommend using water softeners together with the powder. If softening agents are used, the stone does not settle on the drum and heater of the machine, which prolongs the operation of the installation and saves energy consumption. The use of water softeners increases the effectiveness of laundry detergents.
Important ! Do not leave any metal objects in the machine drum or seal folds. They lead to the appearance of rust spots. The seal should be cleaned regularly after several wash cycles.

How to operate a Hansa automatic washing machine
To operate the Hansa washing machine, you don’t need to reinvent the wheel, just download the instructions and read them carefully, I assure you there’s a lot of interesting stuff in this magazine. Of course, the manual is good, but it doesn’t say what needs to be done to ensure that your machine serves you faithfully for more than one year. Although washing machines of this brand can withstand overvoltage and low water pressure quite well, you should still warn yourself against these adversities. If you see that the electricity is higher or lower than the required level, then it is advisable to install a current stabilizer that will keep the voltage at 220V. You can deal with water pressure by simple observation, that is, wash when the water pressure is more or less normal. Working in rural areas, I have often noticed that consumers connect an ordinary barrel of water to a Hansa washing machine. The essence of the system is that the barrel is raised to a height of about 2 meters and the water flows by gravity, without any pumps, to the washing machine. Generally speaking, even with minimal water pressure, this technique does an excellent job of washing. Next I will write some useful tips, thanks to which the washing machine will work several years longer than this brand planned
- Raise the drain hose to a height of at least 70 centimeters → If the height is less, it is possible that self-draining will occur. Also, do not get carried away by the excessive length of the hose; its length should not exceed 4 meters
- Lemon and calgon → Usually normal powders already contain an impurity that cleans the washing machine, it is not advisable to invent something and use different acids to clean the washing machine. Understand that in every SMA there is electrolysis, and together with acids it is an explosive mixture that corrodes the aluminum cross
- Spin speed → Should not exceed 800 rpm, anything higher is an advertising ploy by the manufacturer. I personally don’t think it will squeeze better, but the bearings and oil seal will fail much faster
- Place a rubber mat under the SM → This will reduce vibration and the machine will stand rooted to the spot. It is especially recommended to do this where there are ceramic tiles on the floor. I am often told that the machine already has rubber feet, of course this is true, but for some reason very often these feet do not help
- Cleaning the filter → This operation should be done after every tenth wash (this is ideal), and at least once every six months you should look into the drain pump housing. Don't think that you are smarter than everyone else and that you clean your pockets better than everyone else. I assure you, damn it, something will fly past your hands
- It is advisable to install a separate outlet → It is even better to install not an outlet, but automatic machines, thanks to which you can turn off the washing machine from the electricity. The wiring to the outlet must come from the meter. It is important to remember here that the washing machine consumes at least 2.5 kW, in other words, 0.5 kilowatts more than the boiler consumes. After the wash has finished and you have taken the laundry out of the washing machine, you must take the following steps, which will also help increase the service life of your equipment
- Unplug the washing machine from the socket → As long as the plug is in the socket, your washing machine will be in standby mode and if it hits 380 volts, your brains can burn out
- Be sure to wipe the sunroof glass → This must be done after each wash, it depends on how much scale will remain on the glass. If you do not carry out this procedure, then after three to four years so much scale will accumulate on the hatch door that it will act like sandpaper, rendering the rubber seal unusable
- Leave the door and powder container open → Pull out the powder container 3-4 cm and open the hatch door to the same distance. Such a simple operation will help ventilate the machine and, as a result, there will be no unpleasant odor.

**The additional rinse function according to program 7 leads to increased water intake and prolongation of refining by 10 minutes. At the same time, this does not cause additional rinsing. The short-term wash function in program 7 only causes a reduction in the improvement by 5 minutes.
***Programs 11 and 12 have a permanently activated “water stop” function. Enabling or disabling this function using the speed wheel does not affect the progress of these programs. For programs 6, 8, 9, 11 and 12, a set of additional functions not listed in the table does not affect the progress of the program, despite the operating indicator lights.
