Cleaning the rubber seal and filter

Here, jets of hot steam are applied to the laundry (dry or wet), which significantly reduces the number of wrinkles and also leaves the optimal amount of moisture in the fabric for ironing. Three modes are hidden inside the program. P 1 is suitable for synthetics and mixed fabrics. Mode P 2 is optimal for cotton fabric. But most of all I liked P 3 : it often happens that yesterday’s T-shirt is still clean, but it turned out to be wrinkled in the closet or there is a slight smell of sweat. This mode will help in your trouble in just 35 minutes. The machine first steams the clothes, and then removes all excess moisture, and you can put them on right away.

The following three modes are united by one common program “ Mix Power System +” . In these modes, the washing machine pre-mixes detergent and water, and then sprays the resulting mixture directly onto the laundry with a powerful jet. This allows the solution to penetrate deeply into the fibers of the fabric, removing dirt more effectively. It also works during rinsing, only this time the clean stream effectively removes the detergent. These modes will be optimally used for standard weekly washing. " Perfect Mix" allows you to wash fabrics of different types and different colors together. The precise rotation motion of the drum ensures reduced wrinkling of clothes. To prevent laundry from tangling, the direction of rotation of the drum changes during the program, and at the last stage, cold air is used to prevent wrinkles. “ Wool Drying” is the most delicate program, occurring at low temperatures, with minimal adverse effects on the fabric, resulting in reduced abrasion and felting. “ Drying of synthetics” is also carried out at low temperatures. The process is less delicate than in the previous case, but more effective. “ Cotton drying” - here there are no restrictions, high temperature and high rotation speed. Recommended for all non-delicate fabrics. Finally, my favorite mode is Wash + Dry 59 minutes . Great item for daily laundry. You throw a pair of socks, a T-shirt and pants into the machine, and an hour later you have clean, hot as pie and, most importantly, dry clothes - you put them on and go to work.

“ Smart Touch ” hides two modes at once. By default, this is “ Auto Cleaning,” which is designed to sanitize the drum, remove unpleasant odors and extend the life of the washing machine. It is required to run it without any clothes in the drum. After the cycle is completed, it is recommended to leave the machine door open to allow the drum to dry completely. This cycle must be repeated after every 50th wash. The second mode is associated with control from a smartphone, which will be discussed below.

Display and functions

20 different modes are, of course, great, but even they do not allow you to realize all your “wants”. Therefore, using the touch keys, you can modify the modes by changing the washing temperature, drum rotation speed, or adding additional options such as removing allergens to any program. At first, all this diversity causes a little confusion, but thanks to this article, everything will be sorted out. The selected options are displayed on a contrast screen.

Let's start from left to right.
The first key is responsible for selecting the temperature . With its help, you can turn off heating altogether, or select one of the values ​​up to 75 degrees. The value is displayed at the top of the button. Since our machine is quite smart, it will not allow you, for example, to wash wool at 60 degrees. The adjacent button controls the spin speed . By pressing this key you can reduce the spin speed or turn it off completely. The speed indication occurs above the key. Even higher is the door lock icon. The “smart machine” will again help us with our choice. If the selected mode assumes a spin speed no higher than a certain value, then the machine will not allow you to specify a higher number. If you suddenly add too much detergent and excess foam begins to form during the spin cycle, Candy will detect the problem and may cancel the spin cycle altogether, or increase the duration of the main program and water consumption. In addition, our “clever machine” is equipped with a special electronic device that cancels the spin cycle if the loaded laundry is not balanced, which makes the machine silent and significantly extends its service life. Pressing the above keys together will lock all other buttons.
The third key is responsible for the washing time . When selecting the “Quick Wash” program, the key allows you to set how fast it will be: 14, 30 or 44 minutes. In other programs, pressing this key also changes the washing time, depending on the degree of soiling of the items. Above the key there are two indicators: “Key Lock” and “Increased Contamination”, activated by the button described here. The fourth key is responsible for the cool Delayed Start , which will delay the start of the selected wash cycle for up to 24 hours. This feature can be extremely useful. For example, in many apartments the tariff for electricity at night is noticeably lower than during the day, but you want to go to bed early today. We loaded the laundry, set the delayed start for 2 hours, got up in the morning and took out clean laundry. Another example: you are working and have planned to iron in the evening. If you wash it in the morning, then by the evening the laundry will dry out and will not iron well; if you wash it in the evening, then ironing will have to be postponed overnight. And with this function, you can set up the wash so that it is completed just in time for your arrival home. Above the “delayed start” button there are two very important indicators. The first one displays the washing time. At first it corresponds to the selected program, but during operation it can vary, depending on how many things you have downloaded. In any case, after 5-10 minutes of washing, this window will show the actual time remaining until the end of the wash. The second indicator signals that our “smart” machine will weigh the laundry. The weighing results affect: the required amount of water, the duration of the wash cycle, rinsing modes, drum rotation speed and detection of the presence of soap suds.

Now let's start choosing the type of
drying and steam treatment .
If the selection wheel is in the “Drying” mode, then the entire program will be adjusted (there will be no washing), but if the washing program is selected, the selected drying mode will turn on after the main program has completed. The degree of drying is displayed by the corresponding indicator: “very dry”, “iron”, “hang dry”. You can also use this key to adjust the drying time (from 30 to 120 minutes). At the end of the cycle, the “cooling phase” indicator lights up. In the selected “Easy Ironing” program, this key switches steam treatment modes. Now let's move on to the function key, which will help us configure additional washing parameters, each of which is displayed at the top with a corresponding indicator. “Pre-wash” adds another small program before the main wash cycle, which allows you to wash heavily soiled items. The “Aqua+” mode will allow you to wash in more water than usual: this way, the detergent is removed more efficiently and things are washed better. It is recommended to use it for washing children's clothes, clothes for allergy sufferers and heavily soiled clothes. Finally, “Hygienic Wash” allows you to disinfect laundry at 60 degrees. It's a pity that you won't be able to enable all three functions at the same time.

Finally, the most important Start/Pause stands out. It is its pressing that launches all programs and activates delayed start, and in combination with the function key, it launches the mode selected in Smart Touch.

SmartTouch

As for me, Candy’s functionality, which is implemented by direct control, is quite sufficient for a happy life, so “Intelligent functions” is more of a tribute to fashion, although here you can find a couple of interesting features. First, about the sad thing: unfortunately, we won’t be able to control our “baby” from “anywhere in the world”, since it does not have a Wi-Fi module; moreover, we won’t be able to control its actions even from the next room, since the module is used for communication NFC, and while entering commands you should hold your smartphone directly on the special logo of the machine. As follows from the above, without an NFC module, you don’t have to try to connect to the machine, but not every smartphone has it installed. Finally, owners of Apple products will also not be able to control Candy through their smartphone or tablet.

To start this functionality, you need to perform several “dances with a tambourine”. First, download the Candy simply _ Fi . Next, launch and register in it. Now we register the car in the application, enter the date of purchase and the serial number (indicated on the body under the hatch). Then we turn on NFC, move the machine’s regulator to the “Smart Touch” position, lean the phone’s back against a special zone on the machine, move it in a circular motion and... rejoice if the connection has finally happened.

What does this application give us? Firstly, a “voice assistant”, which you should first tell what kind of laundry you have, how dirty it is, how much it is, and so on, and then it will offer the optimal washing program. Unfortunately, there is currently a small bug in the program that does not allow the machine to start, but I hope this will be fixed soon.

The second function is “Programs”. Here the phone will allow you to download and run some exotic programs that were not originally provided. I discovered about 30 new programs, and their number will only increase in the future. But I liked the “Smart Care” section more, from which you can run test cycles that can identify faults, the “Auto Cleaning” program, or view a troubleshooting guide. Finally, “My Statistics” will remind you when and how many times you washed, and also offer options for optimizing this process. In principle, the basic programs were quite enough for me, and I launched Smart Touch solely out of curiosity.

Testing

I was lucky enough to use Candy for a couple of months.
During this time, I tried to test most of the modes and, in principle, I was satisfied with everything. Here I will only talk about a few of the modes that are most interesting to me. Monthly wash . One day I accumulated about 7 kg of dirty laundry in a month, and I decided to load the machine to the maximum. I selected the “Cotton” mode, then set “Cotton Drying”, selected the “Aqua +” function and increased contamination, closed the hatch, added more powder and pressed “Start”. The machine hummed and began to draw water, and unlike usual programs, where very little is collected, this time it filled the drum almost a quarter. The wash lasted about 3.5 hours, and when I was ready to take out the laundry, another 3.5 hours of drying began. Of course, 7 hours of continuous operation upset me a little (I didn’t even want to wonder how much electricity the machine burned during this time), but the result dramatically improved my mood: the laundry I took out turned out to be clean, not wrinkled, without traces of powder, absolutely dry and hot. And this despite the fact that it is recommended to put a maximum of 6 kg for washing, and 4 kg for drying, otherwise the clothes will not dry, and some things were really very dirty (the socks were standing straight). After the job was completed, everything turned out to be perfect, and the linen went straight into the closet.

Weekly laundry . The Perfect Mix mode works great without additional settings: put the laundry in, turn the toggle switch, pour/pour detergent into the cassette, press “Start”, and after 2 hours you take out clean laundry. Everything is elementary. The clothes washed well, including stains from the greasy sauce, and were not wrinkled, but rather damp, so they needed to dry for several hours and then be steamed with an iron.

Daily wash in 14 minutes . The ingredients were two T-shirts and two pairs of socks. I used three times less powder than for weekly washing. I set it for 14 minutes. Not to say that the clothes were particularly dirty, but the smell of sweat from them was strong, and the socks were no longer soft. Oddly enough, the machine did the job. The clothes were freshened, the socks went limp. To call the laundry wet would be wrong, rather wet, and three hours of line drying finished the job.

Wash + dry in 1 hour. If you don’t want to wait three hours for your laundry to dry, then my favorite program is at your service. You can put more things here, and you take them out already dry. True, the jeans still remained a little damp (although they went straight to my feet), and the hatch on the inside was contaminated with lint. But I couldn’t find fault with the quality of the wash – the dirt that had stuck to my pants left them.

Freshening things up . An excellent option when clothes smell of cologne, tobacco, sweat or other unpleasant odors or are wrinkled. I experimented with this set: underwear, socks, T-shirt and sweatpants. Program “Easy ironing. P3", do not add powder. Just 35 minutes and the clothes are like new - wrinkle-free, odorless and warm.

Washing and drying a sweater. In my experience, this test is very difficult for a machine, since my previous one could not pass it normally - I had to do it manually, and then the sweater became terribly dirty - it would be a shame not to try Candy. I turned on the Wool/Silk setting and waited 48 minutes for it to wash in cool water, then ran the Wool Dry for 2 hours. As a result, the dirt was washed off, and after drying the sweater acquired such fluffiness that it did not have when purchased.

"Cleaning". During all the time I used it, I started the cleaning cycle once. It took 2 hours and 16 minutes at the machine. The unpleasant smell and visible dirt are gone, let's hope that this will extend the life of the machine.

Personally, I am completely satisfied with my purchase: the Candy GVSW4364TWHC-07 has all the modern functions and at the same time costs significantly less than its analogues (23,000 rubles). It perfectly washes both large and small volumes of laundry, the steam function leaves no chance for wrinkles and perfectly refreshes things, and the presence of drying functions allows you to get clothes immediately ready for use. The workmanship of this model is excellent. Smart functionality can also be useful, both when choosing exotic washing programs and when checking for faults, although a Wi-Fi connection would, of course, be better, and the application, frankly speaking, is still crude. In fact, I was more pleased that the machine can weigh the laundry and independently regulate the washing time, drum rotation speed, control the formation of foam, and so on. Of course, I would like not to wait 3 hours for clothes to dry, a higher energy consumption class, the ability to add things during washing, and other bells and whistles, but this comes from other manufacturers, and for completely different money. But Candy copes with its direct responsibilities - washing, drying and steaming - perfectly, and I can confidently recommend this model.

Possible faults

Program stop, no water draining . Possible when the drain system, filter or hose is clogged. You should check the pipe and pump.

The liquid is not poured in - check the start of the wash; the start of the program may be delayed. The machine does not turn on/off - check that the filter is working properly, the plug is plugged into the socket, and the hatch is sealed.

There is no heating - scale may form on the heating element due to the hardness of the water. It is recommended to use special products to prevent scale. The machine does not spin - the drum may be overloaded, the load should be reduced.

A number of breakdowns are repaired exclusively in service centers:

• there is no response when pressing the buttons;
• Filling/draining of water does not stop;
• the washing duration has changed over time;
• presence of extraneous noises and odors;
• the drum stopped rotating.

Error codes

If there is a malfunction of the washing machine, the self-diagnosis system will notify you of an error. Devices with a display will display an error code on the monitor; a washing machine without a display will indicate the problem by blinking one of the indicators:

1. 
   E01 – the door closure is broken. Reasons: cuffs were deformed, a foreign object got in, failure.

2. E02 – inability to draw water, or slow water supply Causes: clogged, broken valve, filter, hose).
3. E03 – water drainage is disrupted. Reasons: malfunction of the drain pump, pressure switch.
4. E04 – excess water level in the tank. Causes: malfunction of the water level sensor, malfunction of the inlet valve.
5. E05 – the water heating function does not work. Reasons: failure of the heating sensor, malfunction of the control module.
6. E07 – engine rotation too strong. Reason: technical generator malfunction.
7. U09 – engine failure.
