Starting the wash
The wash is started through a mechanical control panel, on which there are 5 buttons and 2 rotary knobs. To run the program, you need:
- Plug in the machine and remember to open the water tap.
- Press the power button (first button on the right).
- Load laundry, close the drum and add detergent.
- Turn the program selection knob clockwise to the desired program, the decoding of which you can see on the detergent dispenser.

- Turn the temperature selection knob to the desired value.
- Press the start button.
Of the additional functions this washing machine has only:
- “Easy ironing” – provides for stopping the program with water in the drum, is not used with the “Bleaching” function, as well as for the programs: “Intensive wash” and “Everyday wash 30 minutes”;
- Reducing the spin speed;
- Bleaching – used for all programs except “Wool”, “Silk” and “Everyday wash 30 min”.
Service
When exploiting your “home assistant”, do not forget to take care of her. After washing, be sure to wipe it using a dry cloth; if necessary, you can first wipe it with a cloth soaked in soapy water, but no cleaning agents. Wipe off any drops from the control panel, be sure to wipe the rubber cuff and drum, and pay attention to the glass.
Then remove the powder tray by carefully lifting it and pulling it towards you. Wipe down the area under the tray, and then wash the tray itself. Return it to its place, but do not close it completely, let it ventilate so that mold does not form; by the way, also keep the door ajar. Once every six months, wash the drain filter located at the bottom of the washer.
Important! After finishing washing, turn off the machine from the network and turn off the water, this way you will protect the equipment from power surges and pump breakdown.

Is it possible to change or switch the washing mode (program) if the washing machine is already running, how?
The wrong mode was set on the washing machine, but the process has already started, is it possible to change the mode?
To answer this question you need to imagine what result you want to get.
It is not possible to simply switch the machine from one washing mode to another mode, since for each washing mode there is a specific cycle, which literally from the initial stage has discrepancies, such as the volume of water, water temperature, powder rinsing, etc.
Those. if at some point during the execution of the washing mode you want to change the conditions, then you need to completely reset the program of one mode and start another. After all, you can’t immediately switch from 95 degrees cotton to a delicate 30 degrees.
So, if you are not satisfied with the selected mode, then you need to reset it first.
This is done differently on different washing machines, but the general rule is:
- We move the mode knob to the zero position (neutral or stop) (in Fig. I).
- Press the “Stop” button (in some machines, when you press the button, you must wait 5-7 seconds to activate the reset (in Fig. H).
- Select a new mode and activate the wash with the “Start” button
When changing the washing mode, you need to make sure in what position you reset the previous one; you may need to add powder or add conditioner.
The usual switching of the handle to another mode on a washing machine during washing may not work!
I would like to note right away that washing machine models are different and how to reset the old program and switch to a new washing mode is best determined locally, that is, read the instructions for the specific machine model.
In more “advanced” washing machines, there is a program reset button.
Some washing machines, if you reset the mode, drain the water, others simply stop the wash but do not drain the water.
There is a very simple option, this is to remove the plug from the socket, but I do not recommend using it repeatedly (constantly) the washing machine may break down.
Also consider what exactly you want to do, just stop the wash and switch the mode, or stop the program and, for example, remove an item from the drum, or reduce the amount of laundry, add powder, etc.
Here, too, there are nuances; not always and not in all models the hatch of the washing machine is unlocked when the wash is stopped.
If your machine does not have a program reset button, but there is this “start-pause” button
The machine will stop washing, then select the desired mode, I advise you to add detergent to the powder compartment, its quantity will be insufficient for a new washing cycle.
In other models, everything works a little differently, at the beginning you need to press the “pause” button once and the machine will stop the wash.
And then press and hold the button again for 3-5 seconds and only then change the washing program.

If the item is new and you doubt whether it can stain others, test it by hand washing it under the tap. If the water dyes the color of the item, then it is better to wash it separately.
Cotton mode for Indesit machines
Indicated by a picture in the form of a cotton box or T-shirt. The purpose of this program is to wash cotton items. One of the longest - in different models the time can vary from 2.5 to 3 hours. Requires the machine drum to be fully loaded.
Depending on the degree of contamination, density and color of the fabric, it is recommended to change the water temperature. It is recommended to wash heavily soiled clothing and home textiles in the intensive wash cycle at 90°C. In this case, you can wash kitchen towels and napkins. High washing temperatures also help in disinfecting clothes. This kills more than 90% of microbes. A more gentle wash for the care of clothes made of colored fabrics is performed at a water temperature of 40°C. Allows you to maintain the brightness of colors.
The Cotton mode is best suited for home textiles - towels, bed linen, blankets. For clothing, it is preferable to use either a specialized program, if available, or to ensure that the temperature corresponds to that indicated on the clothing labels.
“Synthetic” mode in Indesit washing machines
