Preparing water for washing

The Gorenje washing machine with a water tank operates in almost completely autonomous mode. Before starting it, the required amount of water is poured into the tank - approximately 30-40 liters, it all depends on the volume of the tank. There are certain requirements for the quality of water: it should not contain debris and insects, which can subsequently get into the internal components of household appliances and cause their breakdown. Therefore, purified or settled water should be poured into the container, and when using river or lake water, it must first be filtered .

The tank itself is equipped with a filter, but it is capable of catching only large particles of debris, so the owner of the household appliance will have to take care of the purity of the water. To fill the water, open the lid of the tank and fill it with liquid to the indicated mark. After closing the lid, the washing machine is ready for washing.

Loading detergent

Each model of household appliances has an instruction manual, which contains step-by-step instructions on how to use the device. However, there are still housewives who load washing powder not into a special tray, but directly into the drum of the washing machine. Equipment manufacturer Gorenje warns against such a step, because modern detergents contain aggressive ingredients that can damage the fabric or leave permanent marks and stains on it. Therefore, detergents should be loaded strictly into a special compartment.

The powder receptacle of Gorenje household appliances is divided into compartments for:

  • main wash – load of dry or liquid washing powder, it is marked with the symbols “B” or “II”;
  • pre-wash – intended for dry powder or gel, it is marked “A” or “I”;
  • fabric softener - the smallest compartment where fabric softener is poured is marked with a symbol in the form of a flower or an asterisk.

The compartment for the main wash is most often used, the remaining compartments are in demand from time to time.

All additional products are also loaded into the main wash compartment:

  • stain remover;
  • bleach;
  • anti-scale agents.

It is very important not to confuse the compartments, because incorrect loading of laundry detergents can cause undesirable consequences for things and the operation of the household appliance itself.

Functional set Gorenje

Gorenje also has a number of unique functions. They greatly simplify the cleaning process and improve the quality of washing. You just need to understand what turns on and when.

  • Self-cleaning. By activating the option, adding powder and turning on “Cotton”, you can quickly and efficiently clean the machine.
  • Security lock. When it is turned on, the dashboard is locked, which protects against accidental pressing or child “invasion”.
  • Prewash. Starts before the main cycle if the laundry is very dirty.
  • Water is a plus. Increases the volume of water during washing and rinsing.
  • Additional loading control. The laundry loaded into the drum is automatically weighed, and based on the data received, the system calculates the required volume of water, washing time and amount of powder.

Modern Gorenje washing machines have impressive functionality. The abundance of modes and options help improve and simplify washing - you just need to understand them in advance.

Special programs in Gorenje machines

To increase the level of comfort when working with a washing machine, designers and technologists have developed many useful programs.

To load different types of fabrics into the drum that are similar in color and can withstand similar washing modes, a Mix program , which allows you to wash 6 kg of laundry. This program is well suited for washing a large number of children's clothes that are difficult to wash individually.

The quick wash program allows you to wash lightly soiled items that do not require lengthy and thorough treatment. Reviews say that fewer rinses reduce the time clothes spend in the drum and will allow you to get an almost dry item in 35–40 minutes.

For everyday washing of lightly soiled items, the Sport program . After morning and evening walks or intense workouts, things are quickly cleansed and fresh for use the next day.

The intensive wash program allows you to wash about 6 kg of bed linen and other durable clothes with heavy soiling at elevated temperatures up to 60ºC.

There is an easy ironing mode, which, according to housewives, allows you to reduce the number of creases on the fabric when washing. This is achieved by increasing the amount of water in the drum and reducing the rotation speed during drying. Such linen is smoothed out faster during subsequent heat treatment.

The half-load program, according to user reviews, makes it possible to wash a small amount of items while saving water and electrical energy. Such a program is necessarily present in washing machines of the Exclusive line.
