The instruction manual is the first assistant to the new owner of a washing machine. Before you start using the “home assistant”, you must read it carefully. However, the instructions for some washing machines are simply impossible to read. Either they are translated too crudely, or they are overloaded with information so that the main data is lost. We decided to rewrite the operating instructions for this brand of washing machine, just to make it easier to understand its contents, we hope this will help you.
Correct installation of equipment
First, you need to open the packaging of the delivered washing equipment. This must be done as carefully as possible, because the machine may be faulty. In this case, you will have to pack the unit back.
Then you need to do the following:
- Carefully inspect the car body . There should be no mechanical damage. Then you need to open the hatch of the device and inspect the cuff. It is also necessary to check the tray with powder cells.
- Inspect the control panel. Check the integrity of the buttons and the regulator for selecting the desired washing program. If damage is discovered, notify the seller immediately.
- Unscrew and remove the transport bolts located on the rear side of the machine body. There are four of them in total. The bolt holes must be plugged with special plugs.
The transport fasteners must be retained. Most likely, they will come in handy in the future when transporting the washing machine.
Next, you need to decide on the place where the machine will stand.
When choosing a location, it is important to consider the following rules:
- The machine must be installed on a solid base. Before installing the device, it is necessary to strengthen the floor.
- The distance between the walls of the case and other interior items must be at least one centimeter.
- Connection points to communications (electricity, sewerage, water supply) should be located next to the machine. Preferably at a distance of 100-150 centimeters.
After preparing the area, you can install washing equipment. If you encounter difficulties connecting the device, you should contact a professional.
Next, you need to perform the first launch of the “home assistant”. But this must be done strictly according to the instructions. At the first start, the internal parts of the device are cleaned of factory debris and engine oil residues that got inside the machine during assembly.
This is done as follows:
- Open the tray with detergent compartments.
- Pour a small amount of washing powder into the middle compartment.
- Close the powder receptacle.
- Select one of the long programs at a water temperature of 90°C. This is done using the program selection switch.
- The drum of the machine must be empty.
- Wait until the washing process is completed.
After the steps described above, you can wash things in the machine.
Programs and features
The Indesit WISL 82 manual contains a description of all programs and functions supported by the machine. Each program is used in its own case depending on the things loaded into the drum, how dirty the things are and other parameters. Let's look at these programs in order.
- Cotton, first mode at high temperature 900C. Washing very dirty white cotton underwear. When implementing a program, the pre-wash is started first, then the main wash, then rinse and spin. Add powder and conditioner. Implementation time 137 minutes.
- Cotton, second mode at 900C. It differs from the first one only in the absence of pre-washing and the possibility of bleaching, but everything is exactly the same. Implementation time 120 minutes.
- Cotton, third program at 600C. It is more in demand because it is used when it is necessary to wash white cotton or mixed laundry, as well as strongly colored items with heavy and medium degrees of soiling. The program includes a main wash, rinsing and spinning, and possibly bleaching. You can add conditioner. Implementation time 105 minutes.
- Cotton, fourth program at 400C. It differs from the third mode only in water temperature. However, this difference is significant, since even faded colored items that are lightly soiled can be washed using this mode. Implementation time 72 minutes.
- Cotton, fifth mode at 300C. Complete analogue of the fourth program. The only difference is the temperature and, as a result, the quality of washing. The instructions recommend using this mode only for highly faded colored items. Implementation time 65 minutes.
- Synthetics, sixth program at 600C or 400C. Here you can select the washing temperature. The mode includes the main wash with the addition of powder and conditioner, rinse, and delicate spin. Suitable for washing heavily soiled synthetic clothing with durable coloring. Implementation time is 77 minutes at sixty degrees and 62 minutes at forty degrees.
- Synthetics, seventh program at 500C. Basic wash program, rinse, gentle spin. Add powder and conditioner. We wash heavily soiled, well-dyed clothes. Implementation time 73 minutes.
- Synthetics, eighth program at 400C. It is similar to the previous one with the only difference that you can wash only lightly soiled, but any colored synthetic clothing. Implementation time 58 minutes.
For your information! Each of the above washing programs for synthetic laundry allows you to turn on the water stop and delicate whitening functions.
- Synthetics, ninth program at 300C. You can wash any colored clothes. The whitening function does not work. Implementation time 30 minutes.
- Wool, tenth at 400C. This program involves the same washing steps with the option of stopping with water. You can wash woolen or mixed items. You can use conditioner. Implementation time 50 minutes.
- Delicate fabrics (silk, viscose, etc.), eleventh program at 30 degrees. Similar to the previous one except for the washing and spinning temperature. Spinning is not possible with this program.
In addition to the above washing modes, the Indesit WISL 82 washing machine includes partial programs that can be activated if necessary. We are talking about rinsing, gentle rinsing, spinning, gentle spinning and draining. Also, if necessary, you can use one of the functions: whitening, light ironing, additional rinsing, excluding spinning.
Other modes and starting washing

Don't forget to keep an eye on your machine
When using your “home assistant”, do not forget to monitor its technical condition so that in the future an unexpected breakdown does not knock you “out of your usual rut” of home life. First of all, close the tee tap after each wash so that the plumbing system of the machine does not wear out. Do not forget to wipe and wash the hatch cuff and other rubber bands of the washing machine. Periodically remove and wash the powder receptacle so that any remaining powder does not dry to its internal surfaces.
To prevent mold from forming inside the washer, do not tightly close the hatch door after washing. At least once every 6 months, remove the lower front panel of the washing machine to clean the debris filter. A large amount of different dirt and small objects usually get into it, from threads and pellets to coins and paper clips. Inspect the inlet hose once a year. If you find any cracks or leaks, replace the part immediately.

Good afternoon. I have this problem with my Indesit wi82 washing machine. You set wash mode 4, water 40 degrees, the UBL turns on, water is poured in. And then it merges a little and that’s it. After 3-5 seconds it starts to erase. But the program selection knob immediately turns. There are three stop points on the selector, reset. So, the handle turns, the washing goes on. I turned off the power button, set it to reset, turned it on and everything happened again. Two stop resets do not turn off, the top one worked. The sunroof and power indicator does not blink. What is the reason?

During operation of the machine, you need to monitor its technical condition. Otherwise, an unpleasant surprise awaits you in the future in the form of an unexpected breakdown of the device.
The tee tap must be closed at the end of each wash. It is necessary to wash and wipe dry the rubber cuff of the car hatch. The powder receptacle must be regularly removed and cleaned under running water. Residues of washing powder should not accumulate on its inner walls.
After finishing washing, the hatch must be left ajar. This is necessary to prevent mold and unpleasant odors from appearing inside the unit. The garbage filter needs to be cleaned every six months. Dirt and various small objects accumulate there.
The inlet hose should also be inspected annually. It should not have mechanical damage or cracks. If leaks occur, this element must be immediately replaced with a new one.
Adding detergents
In order for the quality of washing to be high, it is necessary not only to be able to dose the detergents used. It is also important to learn how to distribute them between the compartments of the powder receptacle.
The detergent tray contains four compartments: three of them are main, and one is additional, installed if necessary.
- The first cell, located on the left, is used for prewash. You only need to add powder to it when the selected program includes pre-wash.
- The compartment located in the middle is used for the main wash. You need to pour or add detergent there in any case.
- The section on the right is for conditioner and other similar additives.
- The additional cell is mounted directly into the first compartment. It is intended for bleach.
There is no need to use too much washing powder. Indeed, in such cases it will not be completely washed out of the powder receptacle. As a result, the tray will become dirty and the machine pipes will become clogged. The instructions for the Indesit WISL 82 machine indicate that you cannot put powder intended for hand washing into it.
When starting the prewash, the fourth compartment must be removed. You only need to insert an additional cell when you start bleaching things. The bleach is poured into a small jar located in the middle of the cell. Then you need to close the tray with the powder cells and start the program.
