Innovative solutions
Manufacturers do not stop there and constantly introduce technical innovations. Many new models are equipped with an improved inverter motor, which reduces noise characteristics and reduces vibration during operation of the unit, thereby extending the life of the machine.
Another innovation is Airflow technology, which allows you not to worry about the formation of unpleasant odors. To keep the inside of your car clean and fresh, don't leave the door ajar. Thanks to the unique ventilation system, the drum self-cleanses every time after the end of the wash cycle, which also reduces the intensity of plaque formation.
Getting ready to turn on the machine
So, if your unit is already plugged in and your laundry is ready to be loaded, don't rush into loading it. Please ensure that the following rules are followed first.
- Don't overload the drum, but don't put too few things in the machine either. There must be moderation in everything. The amount of laundry must correspond to the nominal capacity of the machine, otherwise the drum will quickly fail.
- Wash white and dark fabrics separately. This, of course, will not affect the operation of the machine, but it will very much affect the laundry.
- Don't wash silk and wool together; one will invariably be damaged (at best). You can only wash items made from the same type of fabric at the same time.
If you have followed everything, and now the laundry is already in the drum, you can move on.
Basic washing steps
Before starting the washing machine, it is necessary to check the condition of the tap providing water supply. Then connect to the power supply and place the necessary items into the drum.
The next step will be to determine the required mode. As mentioned earlier, for this you need to take into account the nature of the material from which the thing is made. At the initial stages of working with the device, it is recommended to have instructions with all the prescribed characteristics of Zanussi programs. Over time, the choice of modes will occur almost intuitively. After that, pour powder, conditioner and stain remover into the detergent container.
The last step will be to select a mode or set all the main indicators manually using the rotary selector. If necessary, you should select additional options. After that, press the “start” button as indicated in the instructions.
End of cycle
At the end of the cycle, the machine will stop and a beep will sound. After 30 seconds, the door lock will turn off and the washed items can be removed. If suddenly the door does not open, this may be the result of various breakdowns.
Use a dry cloth to wipe the drum and rubber cuff on the doorway. There is usually a lot of water left in the fold of the cuff. Bend it slightly and collect the water with a napkin.
The machine door should be left ajar for drying to prevent mold and fungi spores from settling in it.
Add detergent
As a rule, in all washing machines the powder container contains three compartments: for the main wash process, soaking and conditioning. If you have a Zanussi car, there will be hints on the tray about which compartment is for what! But just in case, let's say:
- left compartment – for the main detergent;
- intermediate average – for the preliminary process;
- right – compartment for air conditioning.
Please note that there should also be a measure in the amount of powder. Usually, the required amount of product is indicated on its packaging . In no case should you think that the more powder, the better things will be washed: this is a misconception ! Dry powder is already difficult to wash out, and if there is a lot of it, it will most likely remain on clothes and then cause skin irritation and allergic symptoms.
Activate the program
In order to select an operating mode, on some machines you need to turn the wheel and stop the pointer arrow opposite the required program. On other models they are activated by pressing the corresponding buttons:
- washing cotton fabrics;
- woolen products;
- synthetic fabrics;
- everyday washing;
- gentle regime;
- quick wash;
- baby wash.
As you can see, the program is selected based on the type of fabric, the characteristics of its washing (intensity, pace), and so on. Almost all existing cycles can be adjusted.
When does the machine stop working?
Zanussi machines are equipped with a sound indicator for the end of the wash cycle. After the alarm sounds, 30 seconds must pass before the security system allows you to open the door.
After the laundry has left the machine and gone to dry, you can work on the drum. A lot of water usually accumulates under the cuff, and since the cuff is rubber, this environment is very favorable for the development of bacteria due to high humidity. After washing, the cuff should be moved aside and the headband underneath should be wiped with a dry cloth.
You cannot wipe the inside of the drum with a dry cloth, so after washing, leave the door open for a while . Then all the moisture will quickly evaporate, which will not lead to the development of mold.
Set the drum rotation speed
This indicator determines the spin intensity of the machine. Of course, this feature is very useful. After all, after spinning, you take things out of the drum with a minimum amount of water on them. Clothes dry easily after spinning and weigh much less (so it is easier for the housewife to hang them out to dry).
However, it is worth keeping in mind that the more delicate the fabric, the less intense the spin should be, and accordingly, the drum rotation speed should be lower. If you are washing something very light and delicate, then it is better to wring out the item by hand.
Tips for washing clothes
In addition to choosing the correct mode and following the operating instructions for the Zanussi washing machine, you must adhere to the following rules for washing clothes:
- Pre-separate items by color and type.
- Read all label instructions.
- Fasten your clothes with buttons, zips or snaps before loading them into the Zanussi machine.
- Remove old and stubborn stains first using a stain remover.
- Do not place bras, or items with rhinestones, beads or other small parts in the drum.
- When loading a bulky product, add a few more small items into the machine drum. This will equalize the centrifugal force.
- Use conditioners and softeners. Then the service life of Zanussi will be much longer.
Regulating water heating
It is important to consider that some fabrics do not tolerate too hot water. As a rule, the tags of items indicate the degrees at which the product should be washed. But if you are not in the know, there are general recommendations on this matter:
- At maximum temperature (90 degrees for a Zanussi machine), heavy fabrics such as towels and other bath accessories, as well as bed linen, should be washed. These items need intensive washing.
- At an average temperature of 40 to 60 degrees, it is customary to wash synthetics. It washes well this way.
- At low temperatures, they usually wash some light items, without difficult stains or serious dirt. If you just need to refresh something, choose a temperature of 35-40 degrees.
Attention! Zanussi washing machines have a temperature range of 35-90 degrees.
