How to use a Bosch washing machine
First of all, we need to talk about the protection system in Bosch washing machines. Many models have overvoltage protection, this is of course a definite plus, and here we need to go into more detail. Our brand did not reinvent the wheel and acted quite simply and reliably, in general, if the voltage drops below 200 Volts or rises above 245 Volts, the machine turns off the washing modes and waits until the current supply returns to normal. Everyone thinks that nothing will happen to my washing machine, but this is not entirely true, the control modules are still burning. Here the human factor and the weather factor come into play more, we just have guys who use old welding machines and not a single defense can withstand such scrap, and there’s simply no escape from the weather factor. I think during hurricanes and snowstorms, many people observe a picture when there is a short circuit of wires between the poles, as a result, from such a blow to the brains of the washing machine, anything can burn out. In general, if you see that not everything is good with the voltage in your network, then it is better to install a current stabilizer. For a Bosch washing machine, the stabilizer power must be at least 3 kW, it is better to supply more to have a reserve
Protection against low or high water pressure or saving water
I always say that before buying any equipment, you need to carefully read the operating instructions and study the manufacturer’s requirements. In general, a Bosch washing machine has a bunch of sensors, including a sensor that controls water consumption. In addition, it also calculates water pressure based on flow speed. Thanks to this sensor, the control module calculates in what period of time water should fill the tank and how much of it should be there. If the sensor shows that the water pressure is normal, and the pressure switch says that the level has not been reached, then an error appears on the display. Of course, it’s a cool idea, but again there is one “BUT”, the fact is that the water flow sensor, as I said above, measures the water pressure and if it is less than 1 bar, then the brain will almost instantly generate an error. Now think about it, you live on the 9th floor or even higher, do you often have normal pressure? In general, all these factors must be taken into account, the brand is certainly cool, but there are too many reinsurances. In addition to all of the above, like all modern washing machines, in any Bosch model, plus everything, the time for filling the water is counted; if H2O is not filled in within 3-6 minutes, the washing machine will stop washing. What is the AquaStop system for a Bosch washing machine
At the moment, protection against water leaks is used not only in Bosch AGRs, but also in many other brands. The whole point of this feature is to stop the washing process if H2O leaks into the washing machine tray. As a craftsman, I often hear when people pay their downstairs neighbors hefty sums, and the washing machine is often to blame. In the photo below you can see the Aqua Stop mechanism itself

As you can see, there is nothing complicated here; the Aqua Stop system includes only a few parts: a foam float and a microphone. In general, if water leaks into the washer pan, the float rises and begins to press the microswitch button, as a result the contact on the microswitch opens and the washing is interrupted. Thanks to this, you can rest assured that your neighbor below will not present you with a bill for payment.
How to properly connect a Bosch washing machine to the sewer and water supply
The requirements are almost the same as for other brands, the most important thing is that the drain hose is at a height of at least 70 cm. Be sure to check the passage of water through the sewer pipe. If the water is not drained within 5-6 minutes, an error will appear on the display. Above I talked about the drain hose; if it is lowered below the required height, then it is quite possible that it will self-drain, that is, water will accumulate and immediately drain. Here you need to take into account that if you connect the washing machine to a siphon under the washbasin, then you will need to clean it every week, since it often gets clogged with dirt and waste from washing dishes. If you see that the water in the sink is not flowing well, then immediately clean the drain pipe. In general, to be honest, such a connection as in the photo above is, frankly speaking, not the best option. If you want there to be as few problems as possible, then make an independent drain, that is, from the sewer pipe, it is advisable to remove another pipe, the height of which should be no lower than 60 cm, this way you will 100% eliminate the problem of self-draining and that the water may not drain well

In such a small article, it is simply impossible to list what is written in the instruction manual. Although, to be honest, the manufacturer’s manual is unlikely to say that it is undesirable to wash at 90°C, that it is undesirable to set the spin speed above 800 rpm, that after each wash you need to open the hatch door slightly and pull out the container a little powder so that the washing machine does not suffocate, and so on. I can’t write about all these nuances in one article, but if you look at the site’s menu and carefully go through its items, you will probably find the information you need, at least in this article. It is important to understand here that the operating principle of a washing machine is almost the same for all brands, that is, the recommendations for Bosch will differ little from the recommendations for Samsung.
