Powder receiver
Are you excited to try out your new washing machine? There’s no need to rush, first figure out how to use the powder receptacle, where to put the powder, where to pour the bleach, which compartment to pour the conditioner into, let’s figure it out.
The detergent dispenser of the Ariston AVSL washing machine does not look quite ordinary, because it is semicircular. In the picture below you can see it. In addition, in the picture, each compartment of the powder receptacle is labeled with numbers. Under number 1 there is a compartment for pre-washing. The compartment for the main wash is marked with two. Well, the third compartment is designed for a variety of softeners.
Place only special products intended for washing machines in the powder cuvette; powder is not suitable for hand washing, as it produces a large amount of foam, which is dangerous for the electronics of the washing machine.
First and subsequent washes
A new washing machine needs to be washed, because there can be anything in its pipes, from machine oil to metal shavings. How to wash it? Yes, it’s very simple, you just need to run the wash dry. Let's perform a series of simple manipulations.
- We activate the washing machine from the “power” button.
- Open the powder tray and put a small amount of washing powder or a special product for washing the washing machine pipes into compartment “2”.
- Let's close the tray along with the hatch. Linen cannot be placed.
- Select a long washing program and set the temperature to 900C.
- Turn off spin.
- Press the button to start the washing mode.
As soon as the washing machine finishes the program, it can be considered fully prepared for use. Next, the entire list of programs that the machine has in its arsenal is at your complete disposal. We can only give some recommendations regarding washing individual items.
- Curtains and drapes. Such textiles must be washed in a special laundry bag. For an ideal result, choose program No. 11 (which does not spin), but do not overload the washing machine. It will be good if you load the drum only halfway.
- Down jackets. Turn the item inside out and wash on delicate cycle with repeated rinsing. Spinning should also be done at low speeds.
- Fabric shoes. You can wash them together with jeans at 60 degrees. If the shoes have glued elements, they do not need to be washed in the machine.
- Wool products. Wool is washed very carefully on a delicate cycle. You can load no more than 1 kg of woolen products and rinse several times, then the result will be perfect.
Does your machine need to be maintained?
The Ariston AVSL washing machine must be looked after. This is not a tedious task and does not take much time. Meanwhile, the usefulness of these measures can hardly be overestimated, because, as experts have calculated, they can extend the life of a washing machine by an average of 3-4 years.
So, after washing your clothes and hanging them to dry, return to the washing machine and open its hatch wide open, and then open the powder receptacle to dry. Take a dry, clean, absorbent cloth and wipe the powder tray inside and out. Next, wipe the hatch cuff (that big rubber band that goes around the hatch). If water gets on the control panel or other parts of the case, wipe it off, especially paying attention to the buttons and selector.
About once every 6 months, unscrew the plug of the garbage filter and empty it of debris. You can stick your fingers inside with a cloth wrapped around them and wipe the internal surfaces from any remaining dirt. As a general rule, the flow filter, which is installed on the inlet valve, should be washed once a year. If you have hard water, the filter should be checked more often.

Program selection
Read the instructions for how to install and configure the program. But even without it, you can easily guess how to control the device. Typically, Ariston models have a selector with which to select a program. Separately, you can add options for draining, spinning and others. The length of the cycle will depend on the program and on additional functions added by the user.
Before choosing and starting one or another mode, carefully study the tags attached to things. These labels provide information to help you decide on washing conditions. There, in particular, the type of fabric, the maximum washing temperature, as well as the relationship of the product to detergents and bleaches are indicated.
Knowing washing modes allows you not only to wash things carefully and effectively, but also to save all resources. Mindlessly pressing buttons at random can lead to damage to products, waste of resources and accelerated wear and tear of the device.
