Installation of the Indesit IWSB 5085 CIS washing machine
! Save this manual. It must be included with the Indesit IWSB 5085 CIS washing machine in case of sale, transfer of equipment, or when moving to a new apartment, so that the new owner of the equipment can become familiar with the rules of its operation and maintenance.
! Please read the manual carefully: it contains important information on the installation and safe operation of your Indesit IWSB 5085 CIS washing machine.
Unpacking and alignment
Unpacking 1. Unpack the Indesit IWSB 5085 CIS washing machine. 2. Make sure that the equipment has not been damaged during transportation. If damage is found - do not connect the machine - contact the supplier immediately. 3. Remove the four transport screws and rubber plugs with gaskets located at the rear of the Indesit IWSB 5085 CIS washing machine (see figure).
4. Seal the holes with the supplied plastic plugs. 5. Save all parts: you will need them for subsequent transportation of the Indesit IWSB 5085 CIS washing machine. ! Do not allow children to play with packaging materials.
Leveling 1. Place the Indesit IWSB 5085 CIS washing machine on a level and solid floor so that it does not touch walls, furniture or other objects. 2. Once the machine is in place, adjust its stability by rotating the front feet (see illustration).
To do this, first loosen the lock nut, and after completing the adjustment, tighten the lock nut. After installing the machine in place, check the level of the top cover of the housing; the horizontal deviation should be no more than 2°.
Proper equipment alignment will help avoid noise, vibration and movement while the machine is operating. If the Indesit IWSB 5085 CIS washing machine is placed on a carpeted floor, make sure that its base is raised above the carpet. Otherwise, ventilation will be difficult or completely impossible. Water and electrical connections Connecting the inlet hose
1. Insert gasket A into the end of the inlet hose and screw it onto the cold water outlet with a 3/4 inch threaded hole (see illustration).
Before connecting, open the water tap and allow dirty water to drain.
2. Connect the inlet hose to the Indesit IWSB 5085 CIS washing machine by screwing it onto the water inlet located in the rear upper right part (see figure).
3. Make sure the hose is not kinked or pinched. ! The water pressure must be within the values specified in the Technical Specifications table. ! If the water hose is not long enough, contact an Authorized Service Center. ! Never use used hoses.
Connecting the drain hose
Hang the bent end of the drain hose on the edge of a sink, bathtub, or place it in a special sewer outlet. The hose must not be kinked. The top point of the drain hose should be at a height of 65-100 cm from the floor. The location of the drain hose should ensure that the stream breaks when draining (the end of the hose should not be lowered into the water). In case of mounting on the edge of a bathtub or sink, the hose is hung using a guide (included in delivery), which is attached to the faucet (Fig.).
! The use of extensions for the drain hose is not recommended; if necessary, it can be extended with a hose of the same diameter and a length of no more than 150 cm.
Electrical connection Attention! The equipment must be grounded! 1. The machine is connected to the electrical network using a two-pole socket with a grounding contact (the socket is not supplied with the machine). The phase wire must be connected through a circuit breaker designed for a maximum current (operation current) of 16 A, and with an operation time of no more than 0.1 s. 2. If there is a socket with a grounding contact near the intended installation site of the machine, which has a three-wire cable connection with copper conductors with a cross-section of at least 1.5 square meters. mm (or aluminum conductors with a cross-section of at least 2.5 sq. mm), the electrical network is not modified. If the specified socket and wiring are missing, they must be installed. 3. Laying grounding with a separate wire is not allowed. 4. To modify the electrical network, it is recommended to use wire type PPV 3x1.5 380 GOST 6223-79. It is allowed to use other brands of cable that ensure fire and electrical safety during operation of the machine. Before connecting the machine to the network, make sure that: • the socket and wiring comply with the requirements set out in this section of the instructions; • the voltage and frequency of the mains current correspond to the machine data; • socket and plug of the same type; • the outlet is grounded in accordance with the safety standards described in this section of the instructions. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, it must be replaced with a new one that matches the outlet, or the power cable must be replaced. Cable replacement should only be carried out by qualified personnel. The use of adapters, double or more sockets and extension cords is prohibited (they create a fire hazard). If you consider their use necessary, use only one extension cord that meets safety requirements. Equipment connected in violation of the safety requirements for high-power household appliances set out in this manual is potentially dangerous. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage to health or property if it is caused by failure to comply with the specified installation standards.
First wash cycle
Upon completion of installation, before starting use, it is necessary to carry out one wash cycle with washing powder, but without laundry, according to the 90°C program without prewash.
