BEKO washing machine electronic modules

The microcircuit in the SMPS under consideration is connected according to the circuit of a key step-down converter, the switching frequency is 60 kHz. For example, repairing an Indesit washing machine with your own hands can be reduced to wiping the module and thoroughly drying the board.

First, unplug the washing machine, then do this: Pull out the detergent dispenser tray.

If the resistance has been broken, then the resistors should be resoldered. We can cooperate. Service centers are trying their best to recognize such a breakdown as not covered under warranty. Handle equipment with the utmost care. To evaluate the operation of a trigger, you need to measure the voltage level at its output contacts.

Command generation module Used to receive commands from nodes that set the operating mode of the washing machine, timer, additional functional buttons, conversion and transmission of signals to the inputs of the microcontroller U1. In conclusion Not every housewife has the desire to study the electrical circuit of a washing machine. If the wire is abruptly broken, a voltage surge may occur, which will affect the operation of the module. The machine will go into self-diagnosis mode.

Because the article says “to be continued However, the principle of connecting to the network is not much different, like models of other brands, Samsung equipment is not protected from power surges, despite the fact that a capacitor is included in the package.

It is necessary, depending on the model, to remove the front panel or get to the installation site by dismantling the top part of the machine. During the designated period, the laundry in the tank is saturated with water. Some modern models have a self-test mode, which allows you to determine what kind of repair of electronic modules of washing machines is required. In turn, the advantages of 5 and 24 V SMPS channels are combined on a common bus. You will have to test the parameters of the elements and check the integrity of the circuits.

For example: Program installation sensors have failed. Other reasons include excess soot, the presence of conductive feces of domestic pests cockroaches, mice, as well as short circuits through the body of insects or rodents. Operating principle of the washing machine

Drum

The drum body is made of stainless steel, the walls are perforated for good penetration of water from the tank during the washing process. During the rotational movements of the drum, the laundry is turned over and thus washed.

For tightness, the front part of the drum is connected to the tank through a rubber cuff. On the back side it has a shaft that extends out through the back wall of the tank. The bearing and oil seal are attached to the shaft. In Ardo top-loading washing machines, the drum design is slightly different. There are doors on its side through which laundry is loaded.

Elements of SMA

As a result of receiving all the information from the sensors, the electronic module begins to process it and issues a command to the control elements of the machine, after which the entire mechanism is put into operation. These include:

  • a lock closing the hatch door;
  • water supply valve;
  • electric motor;
  • TEN – tubular electric heater;
  • water pump;

Hatch door lock

There is a hatch on the front wall of the machine through which laundry is loaded. In some models of washing machines, such as Ariston, it has an increased diameter, which makes loading easier. When the wash starts, an incoming signal to the hatch lock locks it until the program is completed.

Water supply valve

After the hatch door is locked, the “brain” sends a signal to the inlet valve to open it and begin drawing water. It will accumulate until a signal is received from the pressure switch that the tank is already sufficiently filled.

Electric motor

To set the drum in motion, a command is given to the engine to start. It is connected to the drum by a belt drive through a pulley.

Direct drive machines do not have these elements. The drum is a rotor rotating in the magnetic field of the stator (coil).

The direction and speed of rotation are set by a built-in program through an electronic control system.

Tubular electric heater

To heat the water in the tank, a heating element is used. Voltage is supplied to it after a command from the control system, after which the water begins to be heated to the required levels. When the programmed temperature is reached, the thermostat sends a signal to the module to turn off the heating.

It should be noted that over time the heating element becomes covered with a thick layer of scale, which impairs heat transfer, which results in overheating and burnout of the heater coil. Therefore, it is recommended to periodically clean the heating element. But, for example, new Samsung washing machines use a heater that has a double ceramic coating.

water pump

After completing the washing program, the drain pump (pump) receives a command to turn on. The pump's electric motor starts and water begins to be pumped out through the drain hose into the sewer.

The same action occurs when performing the rinsing algorithm. The pump consists, on one side, of a volute containing a filter, and on the other, an electric motor with a cross impeller. The filter is accessible through the front panel of the housing for regular cleaning. If it is not cleaned, the pump may fail.

Control module

This part of the washing machine can be called, without exaggeration, the “brain” of the device. It controls all processes, when the unit begins to wash, it gives commands to all components, including the electric motor, to start or complete work. The control module has special programs installed that it executes. The list of these programs is different for each SMA model. There are more “smart” modules, with a large list of modes and tasks. There are simpler ones that give commands to perform the basic functions of washing and spinning.

When the electronics fail, the SMA begins to work with errors or stops altogether.

To control the washing process, the module requires information from different parts of the machine. For this, sensors are used that send signals to the “brain” of the washer:

  • water level control sensor (pressure switch);
  • thermostat;
  • tachometer;
  • other electronics.

Water level sensor

This sensor monitors the water level in the tank. With its help, the module learns information about its quantity when filling. An air chamber works in tandem with this sensor, which, depending on how full the tank is, supplies pressure to it.

Thermostat

This meter is located at the very bottom of the tank, and is partially built into it. It measures water temperature and sends a signal to the control module.

Tachometer

A tachometer is used to control the engine rotation speed. Only with its help are different engine speed modes possible during the washing or spinning process.

Other electronics

This includes a variety of relays (for example, a hatch closing sensor), indicator lights and a display showing information about the current operation, and a navigation panel. So, in ATLANT car models, there are five types of panels:

  • with LED indication;
  • with segment display and light indication;
  • control panel with LCD display;
  • control panel with LCD display and navigation buttons;
  • with LED indication and segment display.

Other body parts

The main part of the design of an automatic washing machine has been described above. But there were some elements that were not mentioned:

  • powder hopper;
  • counterweights;
  • washing machine body;
  • hoses.

Powder hopper

The dispenser compartment contains a tray for powder and rinse aid. This compartment is connected to pipes through which water is supplied to flush out detergents.

The design of the Zanussi automatic washing machine differs from other models in the presence of the Jet System, which, thanks to the constant circulation of the washing solution, evenly saturates the laundry during soaking. The unit is able to determine the moment when the fabrics are well saturated and it’s time to turn off the water supply.

Counterweights

To balance the vibration that occurs when spinning clothes, a system of counterweights is installed in the machine body. They look like concrete blocks that are attached to the top and bottom of the tank.

SMA Corps

If you remove all the internal parts from the machine, you will be left with a body containing a loading hatch and a top cover. The body is the frame of the machine to which all the elements and components of the washing unit are attached.

Hoses

To fill or drain water from the machine, hoses are connected to it. The drain is discharged into the sewer or into a special container. The filler is connected at one end to the water supply and the other to the SMA.

The operating principle of an automatic washing machine was discussed above. And having understood how this unit works, you can begin to study its individual parts and mechanisms. But there are SMAs with vertical loading, for example – Ardo. The design of such washing machines differs in the placement of the loading hatch, and in some internal design features developed for this type of unit.

A brief overview of the MCA units, of course, will not help you with repairs, but knowing the device, it is easier to find the cause of the machine malfunction and study the unit that has failed more thoroughly.
