Hard case…

How to wash sneakers in a machine (white sneakers or shoes with specific dirt)? Remove stains first using one of the following recipes:

  • Difficult stains on the surface of sneakers are removed using purified gasoline and stain remover. Dampen a cotton pad and rub the dirt. Let it sit for the gasoline to evaporate. Apply stain remover. After 15 minutes, rinse your sneakers thoroughly.
  • Yellowness on a white or textile surface of the sole can be treated with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide 3%, washing powder and table vinegar 9%. Take the components in equal parts. Apply with a brush to the stain and the ENTIRE surface. Let it sit for a while and rinse thoroughly.
  • Dirt on light soles. It is easy to clean with “White” or other bleaching agent. Apply it carefully with a cotton swab so that the product does not get on the fabric.
  • Stains on suede after water. Stuff the sneakers with white paper, dampen the surface, and comb in the direction of the grain. Blot with a rag so as not to disturb the design. Dry it. Brush with a dry soft brush.

What to do if a failure occurs?

If the program goes wrong, you need to:

  1. Move the programmer to the neutral position.

  2. Press the power button for a few seconds and wait until all indicators blink.
  3. After turning off, unplug the unit from the socket and wait 15-20 minutes.
  4. Connect the machine to the network, launch the selected program.
  5. If failures recur, press the “Drain” or “Drain without spin” button, and after draining the water, remove the laundry. When this function is disabled, water can be removed through the drain filter.

If the SMA often freezes between operations or resets the program, you need to run the test (service) mode.

Selection of programs for SMA "Indesit"

The Indesit washing machine has a wide range of convenient modes. The selection of what you need is carried out using the selector switch handle, along the circumference of which there are corresponding inscriptions or icons.

Before setting up, it is recommended to sort your clothes by fabric type, degree of soiling and color. Based on the results of assessing the condition of the laundry, a decision is made on choosing a ready-made program or setting up an individual one.

In the first case, it remains possible to additionally add the following special functions:

  • delayed start, it is indicated by a clock icon;
  • soak;
  • rinsing, indicated by a drop and a basin;
  • spin, a twisted spiral is depicted;
  • easy ironing, if such a function is available in this model, is indicated by the iron sign.

Are you using citric acid?

Oh yes! No

Of the ready-made programs in everyday use, the following options are most often used:

  1. For heavily soiled white laundry, use the selector to select mark number 1. Next, use the temperature toggle switch to set the value to 60-90° or MAX.
  2. Mixed things. The most popular option due to its versatility is located at number 3. It is performed at 40° and provides care for non-fading colored or white products.
  3. Colored fabrics. The corresponding mark is at number 4. The mode is characterized by excellent results and a short cycle time at a temperature of only 40°.
  4. For synthetics use position 9.
  5. Wool products. For them, the switch should be stopped at 14. But only if there is no prohibiting sign on the label.

Preparing shoes

Having set up the automatic washing machine, we begin to prepare the shoes themselves. The first step is to carefully inspect the sneakers. If they contain pasted decorative elements, reflectors, patches, sparkles, rhinestones, then it is better to limit yourself to hand washing. Otherwise, it’s easy to lose the decor as the drum rotates, ruining both the sneakers and the equipment. We act in the same way with foam rubber sticking out of the crosses, since the filler will come out during movement and clog the drain system of the washing machine. Then we proceed like this.

  1. We take out the laces and insoles. It is better to try washing the latter by hand: wet it, sprinkle it with powder and rub it with a stiff shoe brush for 10 minutes. If you don’t want to do hand washing, then put the removed items in the drum with the sneakers.
  2. We thoroughly clean the sole, removing dirt, sand, stones, grass and other debris. We arm ourselves with a toothpick or a knitting needle and go through all the “grooves” on the tread. Afterwards, be sure to rinse your shoes under the tap. Don't be afraid to soak the sneakers inside - they still have to be washed in a machine.
  3. We combine shoes by color. The rules are the same as for standard washing: white is washed with white, black with dark, and colored with colored. Do not forget that when making shoes, ordinary dyes are used, which can fade and ruin another pair.
  4. We place the sneakers in a special protective bag. An old pillowcase or nylon stocking will do.
  • We load the sneakers into the drum, and along with them we put a few old towels, a rug or jeans. Thanks to the “cushion”, the sneakers will not hit the walls of the drum and upset the balance of the washing machine. Also, such protection will preserve the integrity of the ribs, blades, bumpers and will not allow the decor to penetrate into the drain system of the machine.
  • In one cycle, 1-2 pairs of sneakers are washed, regardless of the capacity of the Indesit machine.

    Loading three, four or more pairs of sneakers into the drum is strictly prohibited. Even with minimal unwinding, shoes can break the glass of the hatch door and interrupt the planned wash in the most unpleasant and costly way . It’s better not to take risks, but to distribute the sneakers that need cleaning over several cycles.

    Not machine washable...

    • Shoes with decorative glamor: rhinestones, stickers, stones.
    • Forget about washing when you're dealing with light-up shoes.
    • The same applies to reflectors and foam stickers - if the shoes are of high quality, the decor, of course, of course, will not come off during the first wash. But it will gradually lose its decorative effect, because the washing drum is essentially the same grater.
    • Shoes with defects. Cracks and visible foam rubber will completely deteriorate when processed in the drum of the machine.

    What problems may arise

    Sneakers, especially professional ones, are not just shoes, they are a design! Manufacturers take into account hundreds of studies, tests, and reviews from athletes. These shoes are very expensive, but using them is a pleasure. Washing in a machine can ruin not only the appearance, but also disrupt its sporting properties:

    • When twisted in the drum of a washing machine, the surface of the sneakers wears out greatly.
    • Water gets into the inside of the sole, causing it to lose its shape and lose its shock-absorbing properties.
    • The surface in the stitching areas begins to fray, and the appearance suffers.
    • The upper part loses its shape and no longer fits tightly to the sole.

    That's why dry cleaning or gentle hand cleaning is recommended for super-professional shoes.

    Crosses are too expensive an attribute - both in terms of preferences and in terms of money
