How to start the wash?
When starting the washing machine, you first need to turn on the cold water supply. Then you need to connect the equipment to the electrical network. Using the selector, select the desired program.
The buttons on the control panel allow you to select an additional function if necessary. Next you need to click the “Start” button. At this moment the washing process should start. Now you just need to wait for the process to complete.
In some cases, it is necessary to stop the running program and change the washing mode.
To do this you need to do the following:
- The program selector must be set to the “zero” position.
- Wait a couple of seconds and select a new washing mode.
- Start the wash by pressing the appropriate button. The washing program will change and the laundry process will begin again.
It is important not only to choose the right washing mode, but also to pour the detergent into the correct compartment of the powder receptacle. To avoid mistakes at this stage, you need to know how the dispenser works.
The Bosch Maxx 4 powder receptacle contains only three sections:
- Compartment for air conditioner (in the middle);
- Section for main detergent (left). This compartment is also designed for bleach;
- Soaking section (right).
When washing without a soaking step, the washing powder should be poured only into the cell located on the left. When washing clothes with soaking, the powder must be added to the right cell. Air conditioning, as already mentioned, needs to be added to the middle section.

Safety
Operating your washing machine safely begins with reading the instructions, which should be kept in a place where you can find them immediately if necessary. And it doesn’t matter whether it’s printed or electronic. So, safety precautions say the following:
- The machine can only be used at home when connected to a cold water supply for washing textiles.
- Children and pets are not allowed near the car.
- Do not touch the glass of the hatch door while the equipment is operating, it may be hot.
- Do not turn the machine on or off with wet hands.
- When disposing of the washer, cut off the power cord and break the door lock so that children cannot close it if they play with the appliance.
- Follow all connection and installation instructions to prevent water leakage, electric shock, fire or other accidents.
In case of violation of the listed requirements, the manufacturer is not responsible for preserving health and your property.
Installation Features
Before putting the washing machine into operation, remove the transport fastenings, which must be saved in case of subsequent transportation. The bolts are located at the back, there are 4 of them in total; to unscrew them you will need a SW 13 key. Insert plugs into the resulting holes.
The stability of the washing machine will depend on the installation location. The surface should be smooth and hard, no carpets or soft coverings, preferably a concrete or tiled floor. When installing on a plank floor or plinth, a water-repellent wooden board with a thickness of at least 30 mm is screwed to the floor, and the legs of the machine are secured using WMZ 2200 retaining tongues.
The Bosch Maxx 4 series washing machine can be installed under a solid countertop by installing a sheet metal cover instead of a top plastic cover.
The inlet hose of a washing machine can be connected only to a cold water supply in several ways:
- to a separate pipe;
- to the faucet in the bathroom;
- to the kitchen sink faucet.
In all cases, the end of the inlet hose is screwed to the 3/4 thread of the tee tap. The second slightly bent end is screwed to the machine, the main thing is not to forget to put rubber gaskets for a tight connection. Since the nuts on the hose are plastic, tighten them by hand without overtightening. Make sure that the water supply hose is not kinked or stretched.

In the instructions for the Bosch MAXX 4, the manufacturer notes that the device will last longer if it is properly cared for. It is also important to use it exclusively for its intended purpose.
The dispensers where washing powder and fabric softener are placed also need to be washed periodically, since plaque forms over time and the powder will not be completely washed out of the compartment. As a rule, the procedure must be repeated every four washes.
According to the instructions, Bosch MAXX 4 is not recommended for washing with detergents not intended for washing machines. For example, hand washing powders create a lot of foam. Also, do not use finely grated laundry soap - it can clog the powder receptacle.
