Electrical connection and safety precautions

The washing machine operates from a single-phase alternating current network of 220-240 V and 50 Hz.

Make sure the wiring is rated for at least 3 kW. Make sure there is a ground connection in your home's electrical wiring. Then insert the plug into a grounded outlet with a 10 A current rating.

The washing machine plug and the socket in your home should be of the same type. The use of tees, adapters and extensions is not recommended.

All Candy washing machines meet safety standards set by the Quality Trademark Institute and government safety standards.

Security measures

Note. During all cleaning and maintenance operations of the washing machine

cars:

a. Remove the plug from the socket;

b. Do not pull on the power cord or the machine itself to remove the plug from the socket;

c. All Candy washing machines must be grounded. Make sure the power supply has a ground connection

First launch of the Kandy washing machine

To ensure that the device does not have to be repaired immediately after first switching on, it must be put into operation correctly. First you need to study the User's Guide that comes with each model.

Then you need to follow these steps:

1. Place the device on a flat surface. Adjust its position using a level. If you do not do this, the machine will vibrate strongly and quickly fail.
2. Connect equipment to communications. The drain pipe is installed in the sewer pipe, and the inlet hose clamps are securely fixed.

3. 
   Provide the device with safe access to electrical power. It is advisable to connect it to the network directly, without using extension cords.

If the outlet is located in the bathroom, then it must have a moisture-proof housing.

• Remove the shipping bolts that secure the tank.
• Remove tape, film, plastic and foam from the device. Then you should inspect the tank; it often contains additional components.
• Perform the first technical launch. It is necessary to check the functionality of the device and to wash the inside of the machine. Pour washing powder into the tray, set the “Cotton” program, close the drum (it should be empty) and press the “Start” button. During the first wash, you need to carefully monitor the operation of the device to assess the serviceability of the parts and prevent leakage.

Preparing for washing

Preparing for washing involves performing the following steps:

1. Sorting laundry . It is divided by type of fabric, color, degree of contamination. If there are stubborn stains on your laundry, they need to be pre-treated by soaking them in a stain remover.
2. Inspection of things . Before placing items in the drum, you should check the pockets to make sure there are no small objects. Buttons and zippers are fastened, holes are sewn up. If bed linen is to be washed, turn it inside out.
3. Estimate the amount of laundry and its approximate weight . Overloading should not be allowed. It’s good if the drum is half empty during washing.

Mode selection

To select a washing mode, simply turn the programmer knob to the desired position. When the controller is installed, press the “Start” button. If necessary, first change the water temperature and spin speed.

Main modes and their designations:

1. Two drops and a “+” icon located on the right side. This is a double rinse mode, with its help it will be possible to completely rid the fabrics of detergent.
2. Shirt with stains. This is an intensive wash program in which the drum rotates at maximum speed and the water temperature is 90 degrees.
3. Triangle and dial. This is a delayed start function.
4. A basin and a stream that enters it from a watering can. This is a standard extra rinse for laundry. When this option is enabled, the wash cycle is extended by half an hour.
5. A basin with the letter P. Enabling this mode will enable pre-wash.
6. Three balls. The program is designed for washing woolen items.
7. A basin with the numbers 32 inside. This is a quick wash mode that will last 32 minutes.
8. A cloud with an arrow pointing down underneath it. This is a program for washing thick items - cotton and linen. By default, the water temperature will be set to 90 degrees.

Mix Power System+

Instructions for use

To start the washing machine, you need to load laundry into it. When it is inside the drum, the hatch is pressed tightly so that a characteristic click is heard.

The next step is to turn on the machine to the network and select the appropriate mode . If the drain hose has a tap that shuts off the water, it must be turned.

Temperature

In most programs, the washing temperature is set by default, but it can be adjusted if necessary.
This is done by pressing a special button. The minimum washing temperature in a Kandy machine is 30 degrees, and the maximum is 90 degrees. The choice of temperature regime is determined by the type of fabric and the degree of its contamination.

For example, silk and wool items can be washed in cold water, while cotton and linen items can be heated to 90 degrees. The optimal water temperature for synthetic products is 60 degrees.

If you don’t understand which mode is suitable for a particular item, you need to study the label. It contains the necessary information.

Spin

The rotation speed of the drum determines how dry the items will be after washing . The maximum speed that the Kandy machine can reach is 1400 rpm. These values ​​are typical for devices with drying. The standard speed is 1200 rpm.

If necessary, spinning can be turned off completely. This is true when washing delicate fabrics, wool and silk.

Adding detergents

Detergents are added to the powder receptacle, which is divided into several sections . The left compartment is for powder that will be used for the main wash, and the right one for the preliminary wash. Another section is located in the center. It is intended for liquid formulations: bleaches and conditioners.

“pre-wash” button
This function is very useful, especially in the case of heavily soiled laundry. Performs a short pre-wash before the main wash. Only available in the Cotton, Synthetic and Mixed fabric programs. This function must always be selected before pressing the start button (H).

C2
aquaplus button
Thanks to the new SENSOR ACTIVA SYSTEM, pressing this button initiates a special wash cycle, suitable for all programs and for any type of fabric, and gentle on both the fibers of the fabrics and the delicate skin of those who wear them. The intake of a significantly larger amount of water and a new effect on the laundry, achieved by alternating cycles of rotation of the drum when taking in and draining water, results in absolutely clean and rinsed laundry. More water during washing ensures complete dissolution of the washing product and guarantees excellent washing results. The amount of water used during rinsing has also been increased in order to completely destroy the residues of the washing product from the fabric fibers. This function was developed specifically for people with particularly delicate and sensitive skin, for whom the presence of even the smallest amount of washing product causes irritation or allergies. This function is recommended for use when washing children's clothing, as well as any other delicate fabrics, especially for bath products, since their fibers help retain detergent residues in them. This feature is not available in the wool program.

C3 “easy ironing” button

Using this button, and depending on the selected washing program, you can reduce wrinkling for a certain type of fabric.
It works as follows: Synthetic, Mixed fabrics: eliminates intermediate spinning during rinsing. Delicate fabrics: Cancels intermediate spinning during rinsing and selects low spinning. Hand wash, Wool, Cotton, Mix&Wash: Stops the machine until the last spin. To end the cycle in the case of programs intended for delicate fabrics, hand wash, cotton, Mix&Wash, and wool, just press the light ironing button and the machine will drain the water and spin accordingly. Rinses: Cancels intermediate centrifugation during rinses. If you only want to drain the water without centrifuging, stop the current program and start it again, selecting the drainage program. C4 “Degree of soiling” key
With this key (by the way, it works only in the “COTTON” and “MIXED FABRICS” programs) you can set 3 levels of washing intensity depending on the degree of soiling of the laundry. When you select the desired program and water temperature, the pollution indicator itself will be set to the minimum level. If you now press the button, the indicator will move to a higher level and the wash duration will increase accordingly, etc. When a program is selected, an indicator of the lowest degree of contamination automatically appears on the display. By pressing the appropriate key, you can independently set one of three possible degrees of contamination - watch the indicator. Remember that the degree of contamination that the machine selects for itself is determined by the water temperature that you have set.

Fast 14'

By selecting this program and pressing button C4, you can change the duration of the washing time and select one of the available 3 programs (14'- 30'- 44')

6.- Possibility to select the centrifugation speed (B1) B1 spin speed

When you select the desired program, the corresponding indicator on the display will show the maximum possible spin speed of the drum. If desired, you can reduce the speed. There is a spin key for this. After each press on it, the speed decreases by 100 rpm. Minimum permissible speed 400 rpm. Less will not work. But you can turn off the spin altogether, for which you need to press this very key several times.

After the cycle is completed

After completing the wash, you must wait for the sound signal to indicate its completion . When the lock indicator on the display stops lighting, the hatch door can be opened. Then turn off the device by pressing the power button and remove the cord from the outlet.

Things need to be taken out immediately, without allowing them to remain in the drum for a long time. Otherwise, fungi will begin to multiply in a humid environment, and the device will smell unpleasant. It is not recommended to close the door tightly after washing; you need to let the remaining water evaporate.

1. 1, E1, E01 – problems with blocking the hatch. You need to try to close the door more tightly, if this does not help, the UBL needs to be repaired.
2. 2, E2, E02 – problems with water intake: there is not enough of it, or too much. It is necessary to check the supply valve, pressure switch and contacts leading to these parts.
3. 3, E3, E03 – water does not drain. You need to check the drain hose, filter and pump; perhaps a blockage has formed in one of the areas.
4. 4, E4, E04 – there is too much water in the tank. The pressure switch, water supply valve or control module is faulty.
5. 5, E5, E05 – problems with water heating. The temperature sensor or heating element may be damaged.
6. 6, E6, E06 – malfunctions in the operation of the control board. Most often, the reason lies in its failure; the machine needs to be rebooted or a part needs to be replaced.
7. 7, E7, E07 – the motor has failed. It is being repaired or replaced.
8. 8, E8, E08 – tachogenerator failure, part replacement required.
9. 9, E9, E09 – the motor does not receive power. Most often the starter fails.
10. 10, E10 – program selector failure. You can try to clean it, or restart the machine. If this does not help, the part is changed.
11. 11, E11 – failure of the drying heating element.
12. 12, E12 – failure of the heating element temperature sensor. It cannot be repaired, it needs to be replaced.
13. 13, E13 – failure of the control module. If you cannot solve the problem by rebooting, the board needs to be reflashed or replaced.
14. 14, E14 – failure in the heating circuit. The problem may be hidden in the wiring, heating element or temperature sensor.
15. 15, E15 – malfunctions in the operation of the control board.
16. 16, E16 – short circuit of the heating element or failure in the control board. The device needs to be rebooted.
17. 17, E17 – problems with the tachogenerator or motor.
18. 18, E18 – low voltage or surges. You need to turn off the device and continue washing after the situation has stabilized.
19. 20, E20 – failure of the pressure switch. The part must be replaced and cannot be repaired.
20. 21, E21 – the water level in the tank is determined incorrectly. The reason lies in the breakdown of the pressure switch or the wires leading to it.
21. 22, E22 – error in the heating circuit. There may be a malfunction in the control board.

What affects the length of the cycle?

The Kandy washing machine does not have a fixed washing time. The duration of the cycle is influenced by many parameters, including:

1. 
   Weight of laundry and type of fabric . For example, cotton takes longer to wash than silk.

2. Temperature . It is selected depending on what kind of laundry will be loaded into the drum. The higher the heat, the longer the cycle takes.
3. Selected program . When the “quick wash” option is enabled, the entire process can take from 14 to 44 minutes. In turn, intensive washing lasts up to 2-3 hours.
4. Set spin speed . The more revolutions the drum has to perform, the longer the cycle takes. This setting can increase the wash duration by 5-15 minutes.

Mode and time

Depending on the selected mode, the washing time will differ:

• white cotton – 2 hours;
• cotton with pre-wash function – 2 hours 30 minutes;
• quick wash – 32 minutes;
• cotton – 2 hours;
• wash in cold water – 50 minutes;
• Mix & Wash System (cycle for laundry made from different fabrics) – about 3 hours;
• express wash 44 – 44 minutes;

This key allows you to program the start of the wash with a delay of up to 24 hours. To enable delayed start, follow these steps: Select the desired wash programme. Press the "Delayed Start" key the first time to simply turn on the delay mode (you will see h00 symbols on the display), now press again and it will be a delay of 1 hour (you will see h01 symbols on the display) and so on - each subsequent press will increase the delay from 1 to 24. After 24 hours, the countdown will reset to zero and again go “in a circle.” When you have set the desired delay, you need to confirm it by pressing the “Start/Pausa” key (the indicator on the display will start flashing), and then the countdown will begin, after which the program will start automatically. The current delay start can be cancelled, to do this: Press and hold the key for 5 seconds until the parameters of the installed program appear on the display. Now you can start the previously selected program by pressing the “Start/Pausa” key or cancel everything altogether by setting the switch to the “Off” position. Calculation of program duration – Cycle duration (V)

When you select a program, the display will automatically indicate the cycle duration, which may vary depending on the selected conditions. In the first 4 minutes of the washing cycle, in the cotton and mixed programs, the washing machine calculates the duration of the program, taking into account the amount of laundry placed in the drum (signal I “kg.detector” is turned on). During this period, the display signals alternately show the maximum program duration every 5 seconds. After the first 4 minutes, the cycle duration will be shown, this value is constantly updated until the end of the program.

Lights up after pressing the START button. After pressing the START/PAUSE button, the signal will begin to flash and then remain illuminated until the wash is completed. After finishing the wash, the signal remains on for 2 minutes and then goes off, indicating that the hatch can be opened.

Cancel-change program

If, after starting the program, you wish to change or cancel it, do the following:

— Set the switch to the OFF position. At this point the program is canceled and you can, if desired, set a new program. — Select a new program. — Press the button (H) again,

Pause in the program

It is possible to pause the wash program briefly, which may allow you to add more laundry, to do this: - Press the button (H), continue to press it until the selection button signals and the display start flashing.

Installation

— Remove the packaging and tray.
