How to troubleshoot Atlant washing machines

Washing machine won't turn on

If the display does not light up when you press the power button, make sure the power cord is plugged in and there is electricity in the house. If the problem is in the washing machine itself, then the troubleshooting options and methods for eliminating them are as follows:

Probably, starting a powerful washing machine overloaded the circuit, the RCD tripped, and the power supply was cut off in emergency mode.   • Close the water supply tap.
  • Disconnect the hose from the unit inlet valve.
  • Remove the filter and rinse thoroughly under running water.
  • Install the valve, connect the hose and open the water supply valve.

If the intake valve breaks, it will need to be replaced. You can also do this yourself. It is necessary to remove the valve from the inlet pipes and replace it with a new one.

The water intake system is a weak point in Atlant machines. In good condition, when the water level in the drum rises, the water compresses the air in the pressure regulator compartment. When the pressure reaches the required value, the switch operates and the inlet valve closes. At the same time, power is supplied to the heating element and the switch for prohibiting premature opening of the drum door is activated.   • loosen the fasteners holding the power cord;

Next, we check the cord: set the multimeter to the “Buzzer” position and “ring” the wire for breakdown .   • Thermal relay failure. It is used to measure the temperature of the water in the washing machine tank and turn off the heating element when the desired temperature is reached. A malfunctioning thermal relay turns off the heating element incorrectly: too early or too late.

Determining faults by code

Atlant machines are equipped with a display that shows the selected operating mode, the amount of time remaining and the error code. The latter are of the following types:

  • Door;
  • from F2 to F15.

None

This signal indicates that due to the large amount of foam, the drum cannot rotate. If None appears frequently, it is recommended to replace the current washing powder with another one or select suitable operating modes.

Door

Door indicates that the machine door does not close. This problem occurs due to:

  • door lock failure;
  • damaged wiring supplying the central board;
  • contact violations;
  • improper installation of the washing machine;
  • defective guide or clamp;
  • skewed loops.

F2

Code F2 indicates a failure of the temperature sensor, which occurs due to a violation of the integrity of the contacts (wiring) or a breakdown of the control unit.

F3

This error appears when the electronics of the washing machine detects a malfunction of the heating element. Failure of the heating element is caused by accumulated scale or broken contact.

F4

F4 appears if the water drainage is disrupted (water flows slowly away or stagnates in the tank). Basically, this code appears when the hoses become clogged or the pump fails.

F5

F6

Automatic stopping of the washing machine during a cycle
