In this article we will look at how to repair an Electrolux EWS 1046 washing machine when the machine does not drain water . This can happen for two reasons: blockage or pump failure. In both cases, the pump will have to be opened. A small digression. You need to open the machine if you have already checked the filter, the drain hose and all the joints associated with it, as well as the sewerage system. Only if the above measures did not help you need to open the washing machine.
To begin, remove the top cover; it is secured with two self-tapping screws with an 8mm head. The cover is removed backwards.
Below it you will see six bolts. Remove only the four rear screws, two on each side.
On the bottom sides, under the plugs, which are best removed using something thin, there are two more self-tapping screws.
In general, I would like to say that all repairs for Zanussi and Electrolux washing machines are similar in structure, so if you haven’t found your model, don’t be upset, they are almost the same in layout. On some models there are also two screws on the back cover. Then, pressing the latches on the sides, remove the casing on which the inlet hose and power cord are attached.
Now you can remove the back panel. The following view opens for you.
There are two options for pump location. The first is indicated by a green circle, the second is indicated by a red circle. If there are two pumps, then you need a red one, if there is one, then green.
This is what the distant pump looks like. Unscrew the three screws and it's yours. After cleaning or replacing the pump, reassemble the machine in reverse order. If you do not want to do the repairs yourself, we recommend that you contact a specialist. This will allow you to quickly return the equipment to serviceable condition and avoid unforeseen situations. In addition, the cost of the service is reasonable. Using professional equipment, we will replace the pump and provide all the necessary guarantees. The repair price is 1800 rubles.

Electrolux ews 1020 does not fill with water
Post by Cloun » 04 Jan 2010 14:38
Good afternoon everyone. There is (or was) an Electrolux ews1020 SM. Product number 914756550. It worked for three years without any complaints. The operating mode is constant but moderate. The supply of water and electricity in the house is stable and good. The machine is grounded and connected correctly. Yesterday I was upset. After the wash cycle, the laundry was washed, but not rinsed or spun. When you try to start the rinse, spin (or any other) mode, the drain pump motor turns on and the program does not end. I checked the network - ok, input-output filters ok. I set it to self-diagnosis (position 0, two buttons - power - held down the buttons) the diodes blinked. Turning the regulator clockwise - the drum of water was almost full, I turned the regulator - the drum began to spin and water began to splash out. To stop the disgrace, I turned off the network with a button. When the network was turned on again, the machine spun the drum for a long time with the regulator in position O. I pressed the same buttons as when entering the diagnostics - the machine returned to its original working (or rather non-working) state. Only now this bastard won’t let me into self-diagnosis mode. Doctors what's the prognosis? Will the lazy woman live or will he suffer? Today I took care of the peripherals - I rang the windings, washed and blew out the hoses, checked the contacts. I didn’t find any crime, but the patient was in a stupor. Sorry for the abundance of letters. Can you tell me if I can go into diagnostics or oops? Thanks in advance for everything.
PS. After a large number of tests and double-checking the contacts, the machine started rinsing once, added water, turned the drum and went into eternity pumping out water without stopping. There is silence when trying to enter test mode. Help!

Bearing wear – from RUB 3,800*
Bearings are responsible for the smooth rotation of the drum. As the SMA is used, and also due to its overload with linen, the omentum weakens. Moisture gets into the bearing and the corrosion process begins. Over time, the bearing deteriorates.
SIGNS
The Electrolux washing machine makes unusually loud sounds when operating: creaks, rattles, crackles. This can be heard especially clearly when the SMA is operating at high speeds. If you shake the drum with your hand, you may notice that it “dangles” more than usual. When disassembling the machine, rusty traces of moisture leaks from the bearings are visible on the tank.
If the bearings are completely destroyed, the drum may completely jam or fall down. The breakdown may be accompanied by code E50.
HOW TO FIX
The bearings need to be replaced with new ones.
*Rates are only for the work of the master; new oil seals and bearings are paid separately.

Tools for disassembling the device
Unlike other manufacturers, Electrolux provides the ability to replace parts. To get to the inside of the device, you need to unscrew several screws or bolts. Some parts are secured with clamps.
To troubleshoot problems, you will need a standard set of tools that almost every owner has:
- flat and Phillips screwdrivers for different thread diameters;
- ticks.
However, to disassemble some models, you may need other tools. We recommend that you have:
- wrenches;
- round nose pliers;
- chisels;
- hammer;
- stationery knife;
- universal key;
Be sure to read the device instructions before starting work.
Most Electrolux washing machines have similar design features. But to avoid mistakes, we recommend that you carefully study the manufacturer’s recommendations, paying special attention to the type of engine. Inverter-type motors are connected directly to the drum, while commutator-type motors are connected by a belt and pulley. Next, evaluate where the heating element, pump and pipe are located.
